INTRODUCTION

M y Flesh is Out of Control was written to bring spiritual awareness so you can recognize the tricks of the enemy. It is as if some of us are in a mine field, or in a place of destruction not knowing that one bad step will cause you to commit spiritual suicide. Many of us are unaware of our surroundings because we are blinded by our addictions and struggles. We feel that we have failed God and ourselves and have allowed guilt and shame to drive us into a place of depression and low self-esteem. We have tried to controlled our environment and have become spiritually blind. Our sight has gone dim. The plan of the enemy is left undetected; we are not able to see him coming. The ability to focus and make clear decisions pertaining to our everyday life; our ministries, health, finances and how we govern our family, is now lost.

T o my father Robert Earl Edwards who I love dearly and miss so very much, I dedicate this book to him in his passing. I am thankful for his dedication, strength, love and support he gave me. His words of encouragement inspired me to become an author and recording artist. He will forever live in my heart. I love you Dad.

OF CONTROL

T hroughout the years of walking with God I have come to a place in my salvation where I am more aware of my surroundings. You have to have a spiritual eye if you want to be considered a soldier in the army of the Lord. If you are not careful your circumstance will become a stumbling block to your destiny; you will become bait for the enemy. A wise man once told me, Son whatever you do, dont let the devil use you.

In the scriptures, Peter was in the spirit when Jesus asked the disciples who do you say I am. Peter answered and said you are the Christ, the Son of the Living God. It was only a few scriptures later when Jesus told the disciples he would be killed but on the third day he will rise again. When Peter heard the words of Jesus he rebuked Jesus saying this will not happen to you. Jesus replied, get behind me Satan . Your attitude in the midst of your test and trials determines the intensity of your fight. If you loose focus in the fight then your decisions are not clear and could push you into compromising situations.

When my flesh is out of control it means I have lost control of my desire to do the will of God. Operating in the flesh can cause us to become weak in our body, health and mind. Confidence begins to weaken, faith then begins to be tried because we start only believing in what we can see in front of us and not in what God has already shown us. We must begin to guard the seed that God has given.

If you think the devil is after you then you are mistaken its not you he is after its your seed, or what you dream about. Its the spoken promises that God declared over your life and your children. Its everything you produce, or your hearts desire things you only dreamed of having, especially when you start bringing forth what you dont have.

God promised in the last days that he would restore the years that we have lost. Many of us have lost so much because we were disobedient but through the word of God we can receive restoration. There are some things that we have gone through in life, which have knocked us to our knees and we feel defeated and afraid. Yet God has given us dominion over difficult challenges we go through. Often times we feel we cant bear the challenges of life, we can do all things through Christ that strengthens us, we just refuse to bear it.

You know you are out of control when you have lost the ability to make a clear decision without interference of your actions. You no longer have control over your speech and you cant articulate your words. You try to speak positive words but without effort only speak lies out of your mouth. Lies begin to flow from the fruit of your lips.

A man without self control is like a city broken into and left without walls Proverbs 25:28(ESV)

You have to know that God understands everything you suffer and every trial is not sent by God. Many things we go through are self inflected because of disobedience, through us wanting to control our environment, wanting to fix it ourselves or alter our own destiny. The enemy sends some trials and then there are some seasons the enemy sends some test. Then there are seasons that God will allow trials to come.

The word says you shall know if you follow on to know. What you dont receive through revelation you will understand through situations; its only a test of your faith. It is important for every one of us to know that God has given us a specific assignment before we were a seed in our mothers womb he knew us and ordained us. From the seed he gave purpose and instructions.

So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it. Isaiah 55:11 (KJV)

There have no temptation taken you such is common to man, but God is faithful that He would not suffer you to be tempted above that yea are able but wherewith the temptation He will provide a way of escape that you will be able to bear it 1 Corinthians 10:13. (KJV)
