I WOULD LIKE TO dedicate this book first and foremost to Abba Father. The Bible says that we didnt choose him but he chose us and that we were predestined to be sons. When I was at my lowest place, Abba found me, pursued me, and poured out his love on me. He took me from where I was and brought me to this awesome place that Im in now.

To my husband of twenty years, when we first started dating, Im almost positive that you didnt know the extent of my issues. You had an inkling, but as time went on and you saw the totality of who I was then, and you loved me anyways. I always say God sent you to me (you found me) because God knew that even though we are total opposites, you know how to handle me. I thank you for always loving me and supporting my dr eams.

To my inspiration for life, my daughter, you are one of my whys. When I was in bondage, there were many times I didnt want to live, and then God blessed me with you. God used you to give me my life back!

My motherwe have had our share of ups and downs. The enemy tried to sever our relationship, but we weathered every storm. We are a testimony of Gods ability to reconcile and restore families. I love you and admire your fight. I know one day you will share your s tory.

To any others that have helped me along the way, know that I love and appreciate you. I want to give a special thanks to my cousin-sister Sharonda, who always looked out for me while I was growing up. Love you, boo!

Last but not least, I want to give a special thanks to my overseers, Apostle Rod and Prophetess Selena Stevenson. When I came under your leadership, I was rough around the edges, but you saw past the tough outer appearance and saw the woman of God I would become. Thank you both for pushing me to come to another level of growth and maturity. I love you both.

I ONCE HAD A vision where I was sitting in a jail cell and the door was open. Although the door was open, I was still sitting there. I didnt get up and walk out. The Holy Spirit then said to me, You are free. The door is open, so why are you still sitting there? This is how many people today live in bondage . The door to freedom is open to us through Christ Jesus, but we are still living as captives. I once heard a message preached: You are free, but what will you do with it? That is still the question for many of us t oday.

If you are wondering if this book is for you, let me ask you a few questions. Have you accepted the Lord as your savior but you havent experienced change in certain areas of your life since then? Have you been trying to figure out why you havent experienced the blessings that come with salvation, freedom, or deliverance in your life to the degree that the Word tells you? Are you tired of battling with the same things over and over again? Does it appear that every time you gain victory in a certain area, you oftentimes find yourself back in a place of defeat? Then this book is for you ! In this book, I will give you some practical information that you can apply to your life, and if you use it, you will experience a breakthr ough !

There was a time where I was asking myself these same questions. In 2008, I had been saved for a couple years, and prior to that time, I had experienced cycles of being saved only to then find myself in a backslidden condition. I found myself at a very pivotal point in my life. I had gone through a very traumatic season in church, and things were not right with my family or home life. I knew that if I didnt overcome where I was, I could possibly backslide again, and I didnt want that. See, I had come too far to turn back. I had to figure out how to gain true freedom! I can remember praying and crying out to God because I had heard teaching on deliverance, but there was such a battle raging within me, and I didnt understand why this was. This is where my journey to freedom began. Over an eight- to nine-year span, God began to show me how to experience liberation one area at a time. So in this book, I will give you some of the lessons that I have learned by way of the Holy Spirit as well as certain teachings I have sat under over the years. I have utilized the information and instructions that I received and have gained victory in many areas of my life.

Now if you are looking for a quick fix, then this isnt the book for you. There are many misconceptions about deliverance in that many believe it happens overnight. I thought that way too. I assumed that after I got saved, somehow everything would change the next day. It was not true. Now I do believe that God can free us from certain things immediately, but for the most part, it is a pro cess.

In 3 John 1:2 (NKJV), it says, Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers. The word prosper here is the Greek key G2137, which translates to a prosperous and expeditious journey and to lead by a direct and easy way. So when we go on a journey, we know that it is going to take a period of time, and we have to complete a course of actions. The course of actions that you take will lead you to progress from one phase of your deliverance to the next. I have come to understand that even though it may take some time, and in many cases, longer than what you want, I do believe that the road to freedom can be easy with proper teachings and when you follow the leading and guidance of the Holy Sp irit.

It is my hope to shed light on this area of deliveranceto give insight on how to escape the bondage of your family lineage, to give you tools to rid your souls of the emotional and mental enslavements, to preserve your family lineage/generation by identifying the patterns of dysfunction, to make you aware that your deliverance is not just about you, and to stop you from continuing in bondage when Christ Jesus has already paid the price so that you can experience liberation (John 8:36, KJV).

I encourage you to take the information that Im giving you, partner with the Holy Spirit, and begin your journey to fre edom !

I N ORDER TO get a clear understanding of house of bondage , we must follow the rule of first mention. Whenever youre studying a topic, to get the best understanding, you must go back to its origin. In Exodus 13:3, Moses said to the people, Remember this day in which you went out of Egypt, out of the house of bondage, for by strength of hand the LORD brought you out of this [p lace].
