Advance Praise for the Book
The mind of a child has immense potential. The neural networks in their brains are flexible and adaptable. They also have the potential to create new connections and grow in different directions. What makes a difference is training the brain to learn and apply memory techniques to the academic curriculum, in order to attain complete success. I congratulate Aditi and Sudhir Singhal for bringing out this wonderful book; it will help students master these memory techniques easily by citing examples from different subjects from the school syllabus

Training our brains to discover the secret potential of training our minds is, to me, the most important skill everyone needs to learn. It not only changes lives, as can be seen in the confidence and assurance one radiates, but also unlocks the secret to understanding that our lives are full of unlimited possibilities. This ultimate collection of memory techniques is a treasure-trove especially suited for our students. I consider it a gift being bequeathed to our younger generation by Aditi and Sudhir Singhal. Thank you for sharing with us not only the know-how but also the ability to master the mind and ace our potential

Albert Einstein said, Imagination is more important than knowledge. For knowledge is limited, whereas imagination embraces the entire world, stimulating progress, giving birth to evolution. I am sure this book will help students convert learning into edutainmentthe sum of education and entertainment

I find this book to be a blessing in todays world of technology, where efficient use of the brain has reduced. Moreover, in this era of competition that focuses on the power of thought and the power of the mind, this book tells us one of the best ways to use our minds, i.e., through creativity. While trying out the techniques given in this book with my children, I found that thinking creatively simplifies and speeds up learning for the child in an amusing way. The techniques are practical, easy to apply and fun too! This is a book that creates a platform to better understand, learn and explore the limitless areas of creativity

I was introduced to these wonderful techniques through one of the authors YouTube videos. I was impressed with the simplicity of their explanation. Along with the memory techniques, I found their scientific revision plan very unique and useful. I encouraged my daughter, who was in the twelfth standard, to try these methods. The revision plan helped her make an organized schedule and the memory techniques taught her how to retain everything she had studied. I am glad that the authors have written this book

Classes with Aditi Maam and Sudhir Sir used to be the best part of my day! We had so much fun, and the tricks and tips they taught us played their part in improving our memory. Its been more than nine years since I trained under them, yet those lessons are as fresh as ever in my mind. They helped me not only in school and college but also in my professional life. Thank you, maam and sir, for helping us use the right and the left parts of our brain together

I was exposed to the incredible world of memory techniques at the tender age of twelve, during a workshop run by Aditi Maam and Sudhir Sir. The tips and tricks I learnt then have been my stable companions over the years and have now become second nature to my learning processes. They are easy and fun ways of smart memorization that enhance understanding and recollection. It is remarkable how these techniques remain just as relevant in university as they were in school. Kudos to Aditi Maam and Sudhir Sir for sharing this wonderful discovery with the world!

Preface
Encouraged by the amazing feedback from the readers of our book How to Memorize Anything (Random House India, 2015) and from parents who are deeply concerned about the academic pressure their kids face, we offer you The Ultimate Memory Handbook for Students. It is a complete manual for school students to learn and apply memory techniques to their academic curriculum and attain unparalleled success in subjects such as science, mathematics, social sciences and even English.
The current learning methodology falters in differentiating between studying and learning. The main idea of educating oneself gets lost in the melee of performing well in exams. Students are told what to learn but are not empowered with the right skills to do it; so, through trial and error, they try their own methods to cover their coursework and eventually lose interest in gaining knowledge. Good scores seem to be the only aim.
The result is for all to see. Once a child is out of school or progresses from one grade to the next, they forget what was learnt in the past.
Its not just kidswe grown-ups also feel that most of what we learnt is now outdated or irrelevant. But this is not true. We dont practically use the knowledge gained in school as we dont remember it any more. Thats why it is important to start learning things the right way from the beginning. Although memory techniques are useful for people of all ages and professions, it is most beneficial to students.
Information stays with us forever only if it is registered in the right way in our brain.
- Wont you feel nice if the things you learn stay with you forever?
- If you remember the names of all the bones in your body even when you are sixty?
