H ave you ever watched those late-night infomercials? The ones where motivational speakers are trying to convince you that youre just three easy payments away from completely changing your life and receiving the wealth of your dreams? Better yet, have you ever made one of those late-night purchases? If you have, theres a really good chance you still have that binder of life-changing material sitting under your bed, covered in dust. Dont feel bad. Youre in good company. That was me once upon a time. I had a whole collection of those binders.

The problem is that about 99 percent of consumers who buy those things never apply that incredible material. But Im telling you, the problem isnt the material. Its the person holding it. Now, Im not trying to make you feel bad or guilty about that. Its actually good news! Because youre also the solution.

Right now, youre holding this book in your hands, and what you do next is going to be the beginning of the next chapter in your life. Now, you might have the passionyou might be pretty fired up about everything that Larry has laid out for you in these pagesbut Im telling you right now that passion alone isnt going to produce the alchemy youre looking for. There is a fabric in all of them that has taken them to the heights where they are today. It isnt hard to spot those commonalities, and I can see them in Larry, too. Now, I dont know about you, but that is enough to make me want to pay attention to what he has to say.

The last thing I need to say here is that when you start living in the Success Equation and you commit to applying the financial strategies, youre going to learn here in this book, there will be some nay-sayers in your life. Some days, the loudest one might be you. Change can be hard. Adopting new ideas and practices can be uncomfortable. Napoleon Hill, the author of Think and Grow Rich , once wrote, You have no idea what its like when not a soul on earth encourages you and all the negative forces pour in. It takes super-human strength and will to throw them off. Id give anything if I had someone tell me I can succeed, even if they didnt believe it themselves.

Well, Im here to tell you that you can succeed. Success is a choice. When you know in your heart youre doing something right and youre on the right path, dont ever let other people talk you out of your dream. Always seek the counsel, ignore the opinion, and never throw in the towel. Today, you are three feet from the gold. Now I challenge you to turn the page and close that gap.
