Foreword

Perhaps Emotional Release Therapy could only have been developed by a man who is both a healer and an ordained minister. It is a sort of blend of energy medicine and prayerwith some silent psychotherapy thrown in! It is the simplest, most powerful technique I know of, requiring neither elaborate equipment nor extensive training.

You can heal yourself, and you can help others heal themselves. You can even heal animals. What is most remarkable, you can help people heal deep emotional traumas without their having to say a wordwhich means you can help people heal from traumas that are so painful that they cannot bear even to speak about them.

It sounds like magic. Can it be true?

Yes, it can.

So where does the magic come from? It doesnt come from the head. It comes from the heart. It is the heart that connects us with the force that heals.

You might ask whether this fruit of Walter Westons work is science, or medicine, or religion. But maybe it isnt important to decide. Maybe, in fact, it is almost a meaningless question. Maybe our civilization has constructed too many barriers between three ways of approaching the same reality. Maybe it is time to tear down some of those barriers and reconnect with the real magic that is available to all who know how to come from the heartand all who can learn to do so.

Do you believe in the power of prayer?

If not, you are behind the times.

Do you believe that you yourself can heal your physical, emotional, and spiritual traumas?

If not, you are behind the times.

Do you believe that you can help others heal?

If not, you are behind the times.

Heres the book that will help you experience a deeper, more hopeful reality. It only requires that you be willing to try it, as I have.

Introduction

Emotional Release Therapy may be one of the most important books you will ever read. Its impact on people could mark a turning point in human history as human emotional pain is conquered in all people in all the nations of the world. Emotional Release Therapy will teach you how to remove all your emotional pain as well as the emotional pain of others. Do you know the implications of this?

Adults can have every painful hurt removed; battered women, crime victims, auto accident victims, veterans with post-traumatic stress disorder, and everyone in the world can have painful memories removed. People suffering from destructive emotional states like depression, grief, fear, anger, and anxiety will be normal in a few hours. There will be little need for psychotherapy or medications.

Emotionally and physically traumatized childrenbattered children can become healthy and whole as if the trauma had never happened. Children and youth whose emotional pain has been removed by ERT see wondrous results. It enables them to live up to their potential. It causes them to behave responsibly. It may help juvenile delinquents behave normally. It may raise the IQ of infants. It may reduce the onset of genetic diseases. Many diseases have psychosomatic causes. Removing emotional pain can cure or alleviate the diseases of many persons.

Emotional Release Therapy

All this is done with Emotional Release Therapy (ERT), an entirely new approach to healing your emotional pain. Everything you need to practice Emotional Release Therapy (ERT) is covered in this book.

Emotional Release Therapy removes all of your emotional pain within hours. Imagine releasing the emotional trauma of every painful memory youve ever had! Imagine permanently removing all negative emotional states! Imagine helping others do the same! I know this sounds too wonderful to be true. I was amazed when I first discovered how simple and easy it is to use Emotional Release Therapy (ERT).

Discovering ERT

Its amazing how I found the basis for ERT. In February 1994, I went to Montreal to visit a medical clairvoyant who had promised to teach me how to read energy fields. She had an office where medical doctors sent patients whom they could not diagnose. She could.

She had her own agenda and I found myself healing patients at ten- to 15-minute intervals, when I usually take an hour with a patient. During this time, I met the most depressed woman I have ever seen, using a walker to hobble around. Diane had been in an auto accident ten years before and been injured so badly that she couldnt teach anymore. I had only ten minutes to work with her and regretted that I didnt have more time. I gave her written instructions for healing herself.

A month later, Diane phoned me. She told me that all her injuries had been healed and she was free of pain. Then she made a request. She said, The next time you are in Montreal, would you heal my depression?

I didnt know how to heal depression, but I gave her an easy yes because I never expected to be in Montreal again. But in May, three months later, I was in Montreal once again, registering at a healing conference. And who should be seated near the registration table but Diane.

She gave me a big hug and said, I knew youd be here. Now you can heal my depression.

I said, Lets meet tomorrow at noon. I didnt have clue as to how to take her depression away. But I am very intuitive. That evening I prayed that God would provide me the answer in a dream. I awoke the next morning with nothing. I was getting nervous.

I went to the conference and at 10 A.M. the speaker, an Indiana psychologist named Cher Wendt, provided me with Gods answer to relieving depression. Dr. Wendt spoke a sentence or two about her technique, Radiant Heart Therapy. It was enough to spark my creative flow.
