Stonehenge

is one of the greatest mysteries of history. Stonehenge is probably the most well known prehistoric stone monument in the world. It is still unknown specifically how the stones were transported to Stonehenge in ancient times.

The disappearance of Amelia Earhart

Earhart set out to fly around the world with her navigator, Frederick Noonan, in 1937. The pilot and navigator disappeared on their way to Howland Island, a small island in the Pacific Ocean. The U.S. Navy searched for the pair, but they were never found.

The Bermuda Triangle

has long been believed to be the site where a number of mysterious plane and boat incidents have occurred. One of the most famous disappearances is Flight On December 5, 1945, five US Navy Avenger bombers mysteriously vanished while on a routine training mission.

The Tunguska Event

is a mysterious aerial explosion that occurred near the Tunguska River in Siberia. At 7:14 a.m. on June 30, 1908 which felled an estimated million trees over 2,150 square kilometres. Witnesses close to the event described seeing a fireball in the sky, as bright and hot as another sun.

Bigfoot

also known as the Sasquatch. Some believe the Sasquatch is a supersize ape that is a living remnant from the time of the dinosaurs. Alleged Bigfoot tracks, photographs, video footage and even hair samples crop up on a regular basis however no body had yet been found.

Atlantis

is described by Plato as a naval power that conquered much of Europe and Africa. Plato describes the Atlantians as great engineers and architects. Atlantis is believed to have submerged after an earthquake or tsunami.

The Loch Ness Monster

is a fairly large monster seen in the large, deep freshwater lock in the Scottish highlands. In 1934 an English surgeon named R. Kenneth Wilson took what is perhaps the most famous photo, showing a head and neck above the water and indicating a very large creature.

Marfa Lights

also known as the Marfa ghost lights are mysterious glowing orbs that appear in the desert outside the West Texas town of Marfa. The Marfa Lights appear to be roughly the size of basketballs and are varyingly described as white, blue, yellow, red or other colors.
