For many are called, but few are chosen.
MATTHEW 22:14
IT HAS BEEN prophesied for centuries, but the day has now come for the righteous generation to arise. This is the day when God is raising up a righteous people who feel the eternal weight of glory bearing upon their spirits, and they will produce a wave of Gods glory and power in the earth that manifests like an explosion, shaking every nation, kindred, tongue, and people.
This is who the chosen are. This is how they live. Their lives are propelled like a missile by a spiritual force that comes straight from the throne room of God. Because of their chosen status, God sets the coordinates for their lives and they are launched forward, and nothing is able to stop them. They do not veer to the right or to the left. The chosen are those who have responded to the call of God to represent His kingdom on earth. God is not a respecter of persons; He is a respecter of faith. The chosen ones are those who have determined to seek the kingdom of God and His righteousness. They have made the decision to represent Jesus Christ in the earth.
The lifestyle of a chosen one is a whole other level of living with the power of heaven fully activated in the earth realm, and it is available only to those who will maintain the standard of righteousness God requires. This is the eternal and uncompromising weight of glory that God is placing upon the shoulders of a select group of people who will bear His fruit. He tells us so in John 15:16 (AMP):
You have not chosen Me, but I have chosen you and I have appointed and placed and purposefully planted you, so that you would go and bear fruit and keep on bearing, and that your fruit will remain and be lasting, so that whatever you ask of the Father in My name [as My representative] He may give to you.
Chosen. Appointed. Placed. Purposefully planted, as His representatives, to bear fruit and keep bearing fruit that will remain. And then whatever they ask in His name is theirs. Some people try to skip right to that last part. But to have whatever we ask, we must first be chosen. And God has a standard and requirements in place for those who would dare cross over into the chosen realm. Is the chosen realm your realm?
If He has called many but chosen a few, how do you know if you are called or chosen? How does the chosen lifestyle and experience with God differ from the average believers? Is everyone chosen? If not, then who are the chosen? Who are those whom God chooses? Lets see what makes up the lifestyle and identity of a chosen one; then you make the callare you chosen?
THE CHOSEN WALK IN THE EXCELLENCE OF GODS POWER
But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellence of the power may be of God and not of us.
2 CORINTHIANS 4:7
Living life as a chosen one is not about us. It is about the power of God. If we have been chosen, His hand is upon us and we are going to carry His glory to the ends of the earth. When we interact with the broken, rejected, abandoned, and even the angry, perverse, and rebellious, we will confront the strongholds working in them and speak the truth to them in love. They will hear the truth and be set free.
So many people want to compromise the truth in order to stay out of the spotlight and avoid being labeled a hater. But even when it comes to the sway of our culture toward things that God calls an abomination, the chosen walk in a level of glory that comes with a confrontational anointing. The chosen do not fear man; they fear God. Their first concern is to simply say and do what God tells them to say and do. Their obedience will release a glory that draws attention. When the TV cameras come, all each one will say is, Its of God and not of me. This is not what I say. Its what God says.
The chosen are a prophetic people. No matter how many people are perverting the truth of Gods Word, they will preach and live the truth and nothing but the truth. This is why they can claim Gods promise that Ill make your name great, and the nations shall come up to you. (See Genesis 12:2.) This is why they are able to walk unapologetically in the favor of God. They have earned Gods trust on things that are important to Him, and He releases power and promotion over their lives.
When the chosen prophesy and speak to this generation, they wont have to speak using big words or eloquent language because, again, it is of God and not of them. They say what God is saying and do as He leadsno additives and no artificial colors or flavoring. This is when He starts moving. This is when His power is activated. This is when He starts shaking things up and moving upon the hearts of those He assigns us to. The apostle Paul wrote about how he operated from this place throughout his ministry:
For Christ did not send me [as an apostle] to baptize, but [commissioned and empowered me] to preach the good news [of salvation]not with clever and eloquent speech [as an orator], so that the cross of Christ would not be made ineffective [deprived of its saving power].
1 CORINTHIANS 1:17, AMP
For they say, His letters are weighty and forceful and impressive, but his personal presence is unimpressive and his speech contemptible [of no account].
2 CORINTHIANS 10:10, AMP
The commentary notes that accompany that verse say:
Among the Greeks, a speakers presence and delivery were as important as his message, as the orator Demosthenes made clear when he said that the three most important elements of a speech are delivery, delivery, and delivery. However, Paul did not follow these rules because the message of salvation does not need to be presented with fanfare in order to reach the hearts of the audience.
Then Paul shared the following in another letter to the Corinthians:
Even though I am untrained in speech, yet I am not in knowledge. But we have been thoroughly manifested among you in all things.
2 CORINTHIANS 11:6
God is raising up a generation of people who will not fit the status quo, who will not come as the systems of man expect them to. Just as Jesus came, they will be of no reputation:
[Christ Jesus] made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bondservant, and coming in the likeness of men. And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross. Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name.
PHILIPPIANS 2:59
The chosen will be nameless and faceless. We dont have to have a name. We come in the name of the Lord and in His glory and might. We are in a time and season when all we have to do is carry on in our purpose and destiny with the awareness that the privilege of impacting is of God and not of us. Through our humility and obedience, we will be exalted so that God gets the glory He is due.
THE CHOSEN CARRY A MANTLE OF HUMILITY
We are hard-pressed on every side, yet not crushed.
2 CORINTHIANS 4:8
The chosen have been hard-pressed. They live as those who have been through something. They are not know-it-alls and dont always have to give an opinion. They are humble and full of grace because they know where they would be without God. They are not quick to judge because they too have been pressed. When hot topics spark heated discourse on social media, you will not find the chosen spouting off. For them, if God isnt speaking, they arent speaking. They are not trying to get brownie points from anyone. Their humilityearned from the hard seasons in their liveskeeps them in their place. They will not be pushed into saying something God did not say or doing things God didnt give them the grace to do. This keeps them secure and at peace when everyone else is striving to live up to labels and titles or popular opinions both of the church and of the world. They know what it means to be pressed by God and the cost of being chosen.
