The Old Testament describes Deborah as a mighty combination of judge, intercessor, prophetess, mother of Israel, and military strategist. Deborah broke outside of her culturenot out of rebellion, but in obedience to God to set her people free.

As in biblical times God is calling todays women to a purpose greater than themselves. The Deborah Anointing shows you that although you may have been trapped in tradition and locked into captivity by cultural and gender prejudices, God desires for you to break through these barriers. Now is the time to embrace the fullness of your purpose!

Whatever your sphere of influence at work, at home, or at churchwill you acc ept the challenge to be a modern-day Deborah, stand for God, and boldly lead others to Him?

ECCLESIASTES 3:1

OUR FIRST INTRODUCTION to Deborah and her vitae is quite impressive. Judges 4:4 statesthat Deborah was a prophetess, the wife of Lappidoth, and she was performing dutiesas the judge of Israel. Have you ever met someone, and after hearing her confidentlyand effortlessly rattle off all of her accomplishments, you feel intimidated, inadequate, and insignificant? Or here is a good one: have you ever received a prophetic wordabout all of the wonderful things youre supposed to accomplish for the Lord, thensaid within yourself, They missed it big time with that prophecy. You may feelthat your past and present reality are so far from the future the prophetic worddeclares that it is hard to find the faith to receive as a real possibility. Or maybeyou appreciated the prophecy but wonder how you would find the time to accomplishit all.

I want you to take a deep breath and repeat Ecclesiastes 3:17 with me, There isan appropriate time for every matter and deed. Oh, how I wish someone had exposedme to this concept when I was in my twenties. Let me explain. I received my firstprophetic word when I was twenty-five about having an anointing like Deborah to taketo the nations. When I researched through scriptures and discovered who Deborah wasand what she accomplished, I almost worried myself into a nervous breakdown.

I had just come out of a painful divorce, had a two-year-old daughter who had beendiagnosed as legally blind, and worked a job with the state that kept me travelingsometimes weekly. It was easier to believe that the prophets had missed it than toadd another thing to my plate. What I didnt realize was that Deborah was a middle-agedwoman who had probably gone through many seasons in her life before she became allthat Scripture details.

The call of God is progressive. He will mature you gradually into the fullness ofHis plan. I truly believe the Lord will mold and shape you for the Deborah anointingby using all of your life experiences. Every hat you may wear and every role youmay play will be significant in your expression of the Deborah anointing.
