Introduction
1. One of Satans Greatest Fears
The devil knows that when women find out who they really are and how they play a significant role in his downfall, his kingdom will come to an abrupt end. In fact, God threatened Satan with the anger of the woman and her seed; He announced a rematch in which Satan will be the defeated one.
2. Twice Refined
From the beginning of life on earth, women have given God tremendous satisfaction. In fact, when He created Eve, He gave Himself extra points, calling the sixth day very good. The creation story provides insights about how God used more refined material and a more sophisticated technique to create Eve, thus making women twice refined.
3. Gods Trusted Partners
Women have not been relegated to posts as mere privates in Gods army; indeed, they have been chosen as key players. The biblical record shows that, from Rahab to Mary to Priscilla, God has used women to transform cities, regions and the world.
Women awaken in men the most exciting feelings, but also the most painful ones. Why? Because when Adam and Eve experienced sin, in addition to breaking fellowship with God, they also broke fellowship with each other, creating the gender gap. Men and women need to be reconciled so that the image of God can be fully expressed on earth.
5. Spiritual Abuse: Killing with a Silencer
As traumatic as sexual abuse is, another kind of abuse is also rampant: spiritual abuse. Spiritual abuse usually happens in pious settings and goes unchallenged because it seems so right. Through the ages, Satan has used spiritual abuse to keep women down because he knows that when they discover who they are in Christ, his head will finally be shattered by men and women working together.
6. Bigotry with a Silencer
Jesus came to recover everything that was lost. The first human loss was the dignity of the woman and her position next to the man as a suitable helpmate and partner. Before reconciliation can be attained, the largest gap that keeps the sexes apart must be identified and faced: bigotry. For biases to be overcome, the truth about how attitudes and stereotypes have infected the Church must be confronted.
7. The Rematch Takes Place
The first confrontation happened in the Garden, when the serpent deceived Eve and she ate the forbidden fruit. Shortly after that, God promised a rematch. Then when Jesus shed His blood on Calvary, He bruised Satans head, mortally wounding him. In the last round of the rematch God will use an all-female army to play a decisive role in vanquishing the devil forever.
8. The Restoration of Men and Women
The restoration of women is the last and most dynamic frontier to be crossed before the final blow to Satans head brings humankind full circle. A restoration process is now in motion that will restore men so that they can provide protection to women as they go into the culminating rematch promised by God. God wants to make sure that men do not fail women the way Adam failed Eve in the Garden.
Adam set the pattern for all men to follow. Not only have they inherited his sinful nature, but they have also picked up on his attitude toward women. It is important to understand what went wrong between Adam and Eve and to learn ways to break old misconceptions that separate the sexes.
10. Noahs Mistake
Noah did not follow Gods specific instructions as to how to come out of the Ark, thus making a serious mistake that immediately defiled the post-Flood world. From Noah we must learn how integral marriage is to Gods plan and how important it is to understand the unique roles of both husband and wife.
11. Headship: Honor and Freedom for Women
Although the word headship never appears in the Bible, the principle is taught in several passages. What is the scriptural view of headship? Why did God establish it? How can abuses be avoided? Is it valid only in the home or also in the ministry? What does it mean for women? For families? For singles?
12. The Answer to the Question Why
Even after we understand that women are Gods secret weapon, it is still easy to stumble over past hurts and bad experiences. This in turn leads to receiving the grace of God in vain and to the deadly consequences of unremitted sin. A defective understanding of grace perpetuates the gender gap and prevents women from moving into Gods assigned roles in His Kingdom.
13. Womens Finest Hour
The greatest harvest in history shall be brought in by men and women working side by side, and Jesus enemies will become His footstool. Here is a radical message about how women will become equipped, enter the battle and march in the victory parade next to men.
