Living Spirituality: summary, description and annotation

We offer to read an annotation, description, summary or preface (depends on what the author of the book "Living Spirituality" wrote himself). If you haven't found the necessary information about the book — write in the comments, we will try to find it.

The subject of spirituality has become an elusive one. And with so many paths, ideologies, beliefs, masters, and gurus, where each is convinced of their superiority, it has become impossible to know what amounts to true spirituality. Living Spirituality has been written to remove this veil of confusion and distortion that shrouds spirituality and put the control back into your hands.
The author offers a deeply insightful and rational understanding of the subject that aims to clarify and illuminate the truly spiritual life. Not only that, but the book also addresses various queries and tribulations that one is bound to confront when on a spiritual journey.
This includes:
Do we need a master or guru to be on the path of spirituality?
How can we bridge the gap between spirituality in words and spirituality in ones actions?
What makes spirituality different from philosophy and religion?
What is the difference between spirituality and escapism?
. . . and many more
The central theme of the book is to make spirituality accessible. Living Spirituality is a thought-provoking book that will confront our preconceived ideas, capture our souls, and direct our lives towards the true essence of spirituality.

I dedicate this book to you!

To live spiritually, one needs to understand spirituality in the right light. This needs to be done not in some sacred or romantic or even in an esoteric manner, but in a way that enables the practice of the subject in daily life and helps individuals operate through their spiritual personality.

This book is precisely about such living as it bridges the gap between spirituality in words and spirituality in ones actions. It is a practical guide for a life that is spiritually driven, a mind that is spiritually inclined, personality with spiritual traits, and a consciousness that is higher or beyond the material. In a nutshell, this book offers a thorough understanding of what being spiritual and living a spiritual life amount to.

Besides decoding spirituality and bringing clarity to its true meaning, the book also sheds light on how spirituality is different from related paths or subjects. It contains practical and useful guidelines for building spiritual awareness and explains how this awareness actually works and benefits mankind. The book also helps dispel some popular misconceptions and notions around leading a spiritual life, while distinctly conveying what spirituality is and is not.

In its second half, the book delves into the specific details of spiritual conduct or behaviour and provides the key tenants to living life spiritually. It is highlighted through close to a hundred specific attributes of spiritually inclined people. These attributes can be particularly useful to those who seek to rise above the usual discourses on spirituality and actually intend to make spirituality a way of life.

The whole motive behind this book is to help those who are interested in the subject, derive a clear-cut and practical perspective on how to integrate spirituality in their lifestyle, relationships, pursuits, outlook, thoughts, and actions.

The overriding idea here is to present the subject of spirituality in a way that makes it feel easily accessible and doable. Another reason is to build a clear-cut awareness that spirituality is not something handed down to us by a path or a master; it is something inherent and so, can be easily self-taught and practised.

Finally, the book neither preaches nor romanticises spirituality. It offers a logical, analytical, and practical sense of the subject, which should be easily relatable and would definitely prove useful.

Attributes of the spiritually inclined

For someone whose mind is spiritually consumed almost twenty-four seven, the best thing to do, apart from thinking and practising this incredibly powerful subject, is write about it. So, that is what this really ismy heartfelt rendition of a spiritual tune that truly is exclusive.

And no, I am neither a self-professed mystic nor a yogi. I am also not a spiritual master or teacher. I am someone on this route for the love of the subject and for the desire to make it a way of life. Someone, who has experimented with higher wisdom in innumerable ways and discovered the enormous value it adds to human life. So, it is fair to admit that I am someone who is truly taken by the endless magic and the power of spirituality, while this book is nothing but a comprehensive attempt at simplifying this subject for all those who are either curious or enamoured by spirituality, or are halfway there but still unsure and confused about where they are actually headed.

Needless to say, spirituality or the path of higher wisdom has influenced my mind deeply and has indeed changed my life for the better. This change took place only after I understood and practically adopted this subject and the wisdom connected to it as a way of life. Therefore, trust me when I say that it wasnt a path or a philosophy that familiarised me with the practical magic of this subject. In fact, it was my own sincere endeavour, along with the grace of God, that helped me relate to spirituality in a way which ultimately made the most remarkable difference to my life.

Yes, I have to admit here that initially, I did walk the usual path of engaging myself with few of the connected philosophies. I even channelled my way into leading a yogic life and, most of all, I did wholeheartedly submit to a spiritual organisation, doing all that was mandated and learning all that comprised their teachings and curriculum. To some extent, I have to credit this effort for the interest it built in me towards the subject and for being the stepping-stone to my eventual growth. I am sure, if I had not done the same, my journey probably would not have initiated. My gratitude to the universe for the same.
