Praise for Charles Carrins
Spirit-Empowered Theology

An amazing book that can be used as a Protestant catechism and teaching instrument regarding the Christian faith. It contains a vast amount of knowledge that is needed by contemporary Christians. I especially recommend it to those who are beginning their journey into the theological realm of Word and Spirit truth. This book belongs in your library.

Papa Charles Carrin has provided us with a foundation of what we need to know in order to live a supernatural life in a natural way. Spirit-Empowered Theology is the inheritance given to all of us who long to live a life that honors the past in order to bring heaven to earth. This book is a treasure trove, allowing access to wisdom for anyone who wants to burn brightly without burning out. I consider it an honor to have been invited to review and comment on such an inspired life work. I encourage you to read it and receive new levels of power, love and wisdom for a supernatural lifestyle!

Leif Hetland, founder and president, Global Mission Awareness; author, Seeing Through Heavens Eyes and Healing the Orphan Spirit

Theology, however good and sound it is, is lifeless unless it is Spirit-empowered. In his book Spirit-Empowered Theology , Pastor Charles Carrin sets forth in three hundred questions not only sound, but empowered theologythat is, both biblically sound doctrine as well as an overview of Christian history, thereby empowering readers to better understand both their identity in Christ and their rich Christian heritage. A perusal of the book, obviously, will greatly reward its reader with a wealth of knowledge.

Michael Peterson, ordained Pentecostal pastor; lifelong Bible researcher; former administrator, School of Social Work, University of Pittsburgh

Spirit-Empowered Theology is a valuable treatise that helps all of us to more clearly understand the value and power of our faith in these tumultuous times.

R. A. Beisner, pastor, The Fathers Paradigm Ministry, Hyde Park, New York; retired justice, New York State Supreme Court

Charles Carrin is a prince of preachers, a sound theologian and an absolute lover and practitioner of the presence and power of the Holy Spirit. In Spirit-Empowered Theology , Charles has undertaken perhaps the most comprehensive work of his life. He leaves us with a treasure trove of pertinent questions and answers that are the product of his many years of ministry experience and study. All have been reviewed, edited and annotated by a distinguished group of present-day revival leaders who likewise have many years of study and practical experience. This book is a golden resource, now available to up-and-coming leaders who will be needing answers regarding issues, situations and circumstances arising from the soon-coming mighty wave of revival that is about to break upon the entire globe.

John and Carol Arnott, founding pastors, Catch the Fire Ministries; overseers, Partners in Harvest, Toronto, Canada

The immense wisdom of a life lived passionately pursuing God and His Kingdom resonates throughout this book. These are questions we wrestle with, and I dont personally know of many who are as theologically and experientially qualified as Charles Carrin to biblically answer them.

Epigraph

Death and condemnation to a church that is not yearning after the Spirit, crying and groaning until the Spirit has wrought mightily in her midst. He is here! He has never gone back since He descended at Pentecost.... If we do not have the Spirit of God, it were better to shut the churches, nail up the doors, put on a black cross and say, God have mercy on us! If you ministers have not the Spirit of God, you better not preach and you people had better stay at home. I think I speak not too strong when I say that a church without the Spirit of God is rather a curse than a blessing. This is the solemn word: The Holy Spirit or nothing and worse than nothing!

Charles Spurgeon (18341892), Metropolitan Tabernacle, London

Dedication

To those brave believers everywhere who are willing to defend the full New Testament message without apology or fear (2 Timothy 3:16), who uphold Scriptures integrity, embrace its faith once delivered to the saints (Jude 3), and who fully preach the gospel of Christ with signs and wonders confirming the Word (Romans 15:19)

Contents
Foreword

More and more of those who confess Christ value the Scriptures less and less. Not that they dont believe the Bible as the Word of God. They just dont seem to apply it to the practical part of their lifestyle and decision-making. Instead they allow the opinions presented on social media and by their cultural heroes to shape their values. Truth, then, becomes whatever the latest fad dictates. It almost seems as though they add Jesus to this mix to make things nice.

Of equal concern is another extreme: those who study Scripture but do not demonstrate the kind of lifestyle Jesus lived. For some reason they fail to notice that Jesus trained His disciples to do what He did and then told them to train their disciples in the same way. So they mark their Bibles from cover to cover but exhibit little life, joy or power in their lives. The Holy Spirit has little influence on day-to-day living.

We must address both of these issues of lackwhether lack of hunger for Gods Word or lack of value for the Person of the Holy Spiritto fully realize the purpose of the Lord for our day.

Spirit-Empowered Theology is part of the answer. It is a wonderful book for many reasons. It is alive!and as such, it makes every reader an instant student of the Scriptures. Not a know-it-all; we have enough of those. Rather, the author provides access to answers that would otherwise be hard to find. This book does a great job igniting readers with real-life questions so the answers find a place in their hearts.

One of the most fascinating things about the Bible is that revelation knowledge from what is written creates hunger for more of the Bible. In the natural realm, we get hungry by not eating. But in the Kingdom of God, we get hungry by eating . Discovering answers to everyday dilemmas and questions about God, His will, our lives and the world around us creates an appetite for more of what God says and thinks. I pray that this book stirs great hunger for God and His Word in the hearts of countless numbers of people.
