W e all need an abiding walk with God. And that can happen because of His Holy Spirit in us. The way we walk with Him is to stay in close contact by communicating through prayer. We must talk to Him. But He also wants to talk to us . And that, too, happens by His Holy Spirit in us.

There are so many reasons we need to hear from God each day, but some of the main ones are so that we can make right decisions, live the way He wants us to, and stay on the path He has for us. In order to do all that, we have to draw near to Him. That means not only taking time to speak to Him, but also to listen to whatever He wants to tell us personally.

God wants to do things in your life that cannot happen without the power of His Holy Spirit guiding you, and you following His leading. These prayerswhich come from the book Lead Me, Holy Spirit will help you to establish a life of ongoing prayer, and also keep you mindful that God wants you to hear His voice as He speaks to your heart about the specifics of your life.

B y this we know that we abide in Him, and He in us, because He has given us of His Spirit.

1 John 4:13

L ord, help me to know You more. Enable me to fully understand my relationship with You through Jesus, Your Son. Help me, Jesus, to comprehend all You accomplished for me on the cross. Thank You for Your suffering and death, which have saved me from the consequences of my own wrong thoughts and actions. I am eternally grateful that after You were crucified, You rose from the dead to prove that You are who You say You are and that Your words and promises are without fail. I declare that You are Lord over every aspect of my life. Thank You for forgiving me of all my sins, giving me a new beginning and the promise of eternity with You.

Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.

A CTS 4:12

L ord, I ask You for a great outpouring of Your Holy Spirit in me. Enable me to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge so that I may be filled with all the fullness of You (Ephesians 3:19). I dont ever want to take lightly the fact that You have sent Your Spirit to dwell in me, to guide and help me live the life You have for me. Help me to hear the leading of Your Spirit telling me the way to walk. Give me understanding about all You want to do in and through me. I invite You to move powerfully through me, for I know that Your Spirit in me is how You touch the world around me.

Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

A CTS 2:38

L ord, help me to receive the wholeness You have for me. Free me from everything that keeps me from becoming all You created me to be. Thank You, Holy Spirit, that I can find liberty in Your presence (2 Corinthians 3:17). Liberate me from anything in me or around me that is not Your will for my life. Set me free from every evil work. Quiet my mind, cleanse my heart, heal every negative emotion, and set me free from anything that is not of You. Thank You that You will continue to deliver me until I am completely whole. Enable me to stand strong against ever falling back into any kind of bondage or error again.

We had the sentence of death in ourselves, that we should not trust in ourselves but in God who raises the dead, who delivered us from so great a death, and does deliver us; in whom we trust that He will still deliver us.

2 C ORINTHIANS 1:9-10

L ord, thank You that You are my heavenly Father and You have made me to be Your child (1 John 3:1). I am grateful for the inheritance You have given me and that You have made me to be a joint heir with Christ. Help me to understand all that this means and how I am to possess what You have for my life. Holy Spirit, I come before You and ask You to speak to my heart about whatever I need to know. Show me what You want me to see. Enable me to follow Your leading as I move into this holy inheritance and open up to every thing You have provided for my life.

The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, and if children, then heirsheirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him, that we may also be glorified together.

R OMANS 8:16-17

L ord, thank You for the gift of Your Holy Spirit in me. Help me to never restrict the Spirits flow moving in and through me, changing me into Your likeness and touching others for Your kingdom. I pray for a fresh filling of Your Spirit right nowgreater than I have known before. Thank You, Holy Spirit, for Your power and might on my behalf. Thank You that Your Spirit in me is a fountain of water springing up into everlasting life (John 4:14). Thank You that You give me access to Your power for Your purposes. I know it is not by my strength, but by the power of Your Spirit that I can do great things for You (Zechariah 4:6).

Be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might.

E PHESIANS 6:10

L ord, thank You that I have the mind of Christ, and because of that I can know the things I need to understand. Thank You, Holy Spirit of truth, that You have filled me with Your truth and understanding. I know I cannot fully see the truth without You. Keep me undeceived. Enable me to hear Your voice above all others so that I can always distinguish the truth from a lie. Thank You that You will guide me with Your counsel, and afterward receive me to glory (Psalm 73:24). Give me the truth, knowledge, and understanding I need in order to make right choices and decisions about every person and situation. Lead me always in the way of Your truth.

When the Helper comes, whom I shall send to you from the Father, the Spirit of truth who proceeds from the Father, He will testify of Me.

J OHN 15:26

L ord, I thank You for Your Holy Spirit of wisdom and revelation living in me. Thank You that Your wisdom gives me common sense and the ability to make wise decisions and choices. I pray for wisdom in all things. Thank You that You give wisdom to those who ask You for it (James 1:5). Help me to always seek Your wisdom and not the wisdom of the world and to clearly know the difference. I pray that I will have the wisdom I need in order to stay safe and free from the way of evil (Proverbs 2:10-12). Reveal to me all the things I must understand. Give me the revelation I need when I need it.
