This book masterfully connects history and prophecy of the Old Testament with the fulfillment of victory in the New Testament. The format is simple for individuals and motivating for group studies. It is powerful to see how God has moved in the circumstances of Dianes life to lead her and others to a profound understanding of the Scriptures.

As a Bible study teacher and lecturer for over thirty years, I can attest to the fact that reading the Word of God with a systematic plan helps you to know not only your Bible and Gods plan for his creation, but also to know your God in a personal way. Diane Stortz has presented a plan that is easy to follow and yields great rewards as you are guided to think about and meditate on what you read each week.
Carol Martin, coordinator, People of the Word Bible Study, Eastside Christian Church, Fullerton, California
Dianes passion for the Word is eclipsed only by her passion for the One who breathed it. The simplicity and warmth of her style makes the daily readings personal. Is there anything more powerful than a friend whos with you? Im honored to call Diane a colleague, a mentor, my lifetime friend.
Robin M. Stanley, speaker, writer, life coach, and publishing consultant
Reading the whole of Scripture in the way laid out in this book lays a foundation... to be strengthened, expanded, and built upon throughout life. Diane gently takes her readers hands... and... gives those hands to our God, who will write on their hearts. Her chapter notes and checkpoints give tools to dig into the Scripture while not overwhelming the reader.... If you are going to endeavor to read the whole of Scripture in a year, then let Dianes book be your first of many.
Michael Dean, involvement minister, First Christian Church, Albuquerque, New Mexico

Do any of these descriptions apply to you? Then join with other women in situations just like yours whove made an amazing discovery: Reading through the Bible in a year and meeting with others to talk over what youve read can be a life-changing journey, straight into the heart of God!
On the first Monday night of a new year more than a decade ago, I sat with sixteen other women in the cheerful living room of an acquaintance from my church who was starting a new womens group.
Were here to get to know God by reading through the Bible in a year, Beth said. Well read about three chapters a day and meet each week to discuss what weve read. I took a deep breath and silently thanked God for getting me to Beths house safely, despite a raging thunderstorm that almost kept me home. I knew I was supposed to be right where I was.
Over the next ten years, the group that formed that night met continuously. It spun off two ongoing womens groups and inspired a lively mens breakfast group as well. More than one hundred women have participated, most for multiple years. Along with me, they gladly testify to the benefits and life-changing power of getting to know God through reading and discussing his Word all of his Wordtogether.
Women like Marlene, a single mom of three on a search for truth.
Women like Liz, a young wife and mom who wanted a happier marriage.
Women like Lynn, a former missionary faced with serious life setbacks.
Women like me, struggling to succeed at life under the heavy weight of feeling inadequate and alone.
And many more. Together weve learned that reading the Bible to get to know God leads to life changes with significant impact.
