About the Author
Hwee-Yong Jang, PhD, was a business professor in South Korea who earned advanced degrees at the University of Minnesota and at Purdue University.
Dr. Jang began gi (energy) practice in late 1997 because of a health problem. As a result of this practice, he experienced a dramatic expansion of consciousness.
Hoping that other people might experience consciousness expansion from an understanding of the intangible energy world, Dr. Jang wrote his first book, entitled What We See Is Not the Only Truth, in 2000.
Dr. Jangs spiritual experiencesincluding past-life regression, channeling, dreaming, and energy readingstimulated his continuous self-awakening and led him to fully understand the Gaia Project.
Dr. Jang passed away in October 2008.

Furthermore, my great thanks go to various beings, especially the Consciousness of the Earth, who helped me escape from the quagmire of oblivion and restore my original state. In addition, I wholeheartedly thank every being on the earth, all of whom have traveled a long way together to Oneness, and I sincerely hope that they realize, during the short remaining time on the earth, that we are all one that originated from one source.
Contents
Everyone encounters turning points in their lives. I have experienced several in my lifetime, but the most crucial one came in my late forties, when my life shifted gears and took on a whole new direction and meaning.
After having maintained a stable, well-adjusted life in this material world without much difficulty, a sudden heart problem came as a tremendous shock to me during the summer of 1996. This shock made me question my priorities and values in life, and resurrected confusion Id had as a teenager regarding the meaning of life and its origins. I was desperate to find a means out of this confusion and restlessness, and this wandering eventually led me, beginning in the autumn of 1997, to practice meditation and other breathing methods. This course of action changed my mind and body at a fundamental level, and finally led me to write this book.
After I started practicing gi, a term referring to the natural energy that composes the universe, my hyeol, which are spots on the body suitable for acupuncture, began to open.
I started to sense the gi that surrounded my body, and I subtly came to realize that this energy must be a more fundamental basis for my being, more so than my physical body. Recognizing the invisible world for the first time in my life, I measured various energy levels with an L-rod, the tool commonly used to detect underground water streams. Doing so helped me to understand a great deal about human consciousness and consciousness levels. As the energy of the universe poured into my body continuously, my mind remained in perpetual and unconditional peace. I no longer desired fame or fortune, and I was virtually unattached to material possessions.
I began to write What We See Is Not the Only Truth during the autumn of 2000, hoping that readers might be able to experience a significant change in consciousness through an understanding of the energy world. The book was published the following spring, and I started my website, www.fortruth.net, around that time as well. Both events enabled me to meet many people with similar interests in spirituality.
These interactions with spiritual people gave me a more certain and concrete understanding of the invisible world. I began to understand how gi is piloted through the mind and how spiritual abilities come into manifestation. I even started to understand other various phenomena associated with gi including ghosts, possession, and the spiritual world after death. As a result of these many unusual experiences, I understood the relationship between past and present lives. By trying past-life regressions on people, the concept of reincarnation became clear as well. The fundamental question of What am I doing here? was answered by messages delivered in these various ways, as well as through my continuous self-awakening. That was when the feeling of the earths Great Change started kindling inside of me.
As the truth about life, the earth, and the entire universewhich had been hidden in dense fog until thenbegan to be revealed, I sighed and asked myself, The real world seems to be explained in a simple way. Why havent we humans realized this until now? Upon finishing this book, I am clear about how this world will go on. And, without a doubt, I understand what this book will accomplish and how much impact it will have on people on the earth.
When I was writing What We See Is Not the Only Truth , I focused on convincing a wide audience about the existence of the invisible world, and on easily and systematically explaining the energy world to this audience. However, in retrospect, I now feel that my first book was a bit too obvious: not because I expect that most people will accept the contents of that book with natural ease, but because, relative to this new book, What We See Is Not the Only Truth is much more likely to be understood and accepted by the general public. To people who have lived their lives without asking themselves why they are alive, this new bookwhich provides a clear picture of humans, the earth, and the universecould be considered nonsense as well.
