Preface
In the middle of difficulty lies opportunity.
ALBERT EINSTEIN
Prophecy is a mixed bag. Seers of ancient and modern times say the new millennium can be a time of tremendous spiritual and technological progress, a time when we break free from the pastor it can be a time of war, turmoil and even cataclysm.
But one thing is for surewe are in a time of unparalleled opportunity. We are at one of those great turning points in history when we can create a future that will ennoble mankind for ages to come.
This book can help you make the most of this opportunity. It brings together historical, astrological and spiritual perspectives that put prophecy, and our future, into context. Part I explores some of the most compelling prophecies of Nostradamus, Edgar Cayce, Mother Mary and Saint Germain for the coming years. It also explores major astrological cycles, which paint a picture of our future challenges and opportunities.
Part II talks about spiritual solutions and how we can transform our tomorrows by applying accelerated spiritual techniques. For there are always two ways of looking at the future. The first: the future is something that happens to you. The second: the future is in flux and can be shaped until the very moment it becomes a reality.
John Glenn once said, People are afraid of the future, of the unknown. If a man faces up to it, and takes the dare of the future, he can have some control over his destiny. Thats an exciting idea to me, better than waiting with everybody else to see whats going to happen.
We are all on stage, and each of us gets to choose the part we will playhow we will take on the dare of the future. If we accurately read the signs of the times and apply our spiritual resources in the most practical way, I believe we together can shape the future we want.
PART I
Signs of the Times
The future enters into us in order to transform itself in us long before it happens.

A Sneak Preview
My interest is in the future because I am going to spend the rest of my life there.
CHARLES F. KETTERING
As we together write the first chapters of the twenty-first century, we are still searching for answers to many questions. Will the prophecies concerning war, earth changes and plagues come to pass? Will we find ourselves in chaos as a result of a global economy in flux? As technology accelerates, will our society become irreparably split into an elite of technological haves and an underclass of technological have-nots? Will terrorism become even more of a threat? Will we discover cures for diseases like cancer and AIDS, or will they continue to snuff out promising lives?
Some who claim to read the pages of our future history are prophets of doom and gloom. Others see only the potential for a bright new world. I believe we must look at the future as realists. I see the handwriting on the wall, but I also see a unique solution to our dilemma that can help us turn the new millennium into a golden age.
We will not be writing on a clean white page as we begin this new era. We will bring with us our past. Every day, in big ways and small, we are reaping the consequences of our past. The new millennium will be no different. The circumstances of our lives will be the result of our past actionsour karma.
Prophecy is, in fact, a sneak preview of the karma that will be returning to our doorstep for resolution. The prophets see where we are headed as a result of events we have set in motion, and they warn us of whats coming up if we dont change course. And therein lies the key.
Heaven has allowed the prophets a rare glimpse of what the future may hold so that we can transmute our negatives before the handwriting in our book of life becomes an indelible record and we reap the full consequences of our actions.
Simply put, prophecy is mercy. Prophecy is opportunity. Prophecy is not set in stone.
Can Prophecy Fail?
When I appeared on Larry King Live in 1990, I found that Larry shared the misconception many people have about prophecythat once a prediction is given, the outcome cannot be changed. Heres an excerpt of our conversation:
Larry King: I guess what confounds people is, if your prophecy is ordained, whats the difference whether we believe or dont believe?
Elizabeth Clare Prophet: Well, I dont believe in predestination.... But I think that the prophets come to warn us that if we dont do certain things and come close to God, obey his laws and prepare, certain calamities may come upon us.
LK: But that, then, always allows you to say, Well, we did good, so the prophets were wrong. In other words, the prophets cant be wrong. I could prophesy the end of the world next Saturday unless were good, and then all Ive got to do next Saturday is say we were good.
ECP: Well, I didnt make the rules, Larry. Thats exactly what some of the Old Testament prophets did. And when the people received an awakening to their God and became close to him, the prophesied calamities did not fall upon them....
I dont think prophecy is final until it happens, ever, because of free will.... There is always hope.
But karma brings the circumstance of its return. And if people dont change, then its pretty clear that the karma they have sown is what theyre going to reap.
