INTRODUCTION

Gods Greatest Idea

L OVE IS THE GREATEST idea ever to come from God to human beings. There is faith and hope and love, but the greatest of these is love.1Co.13:13

The Bible says: God is love.1Jo.4:8 God created you, so you are the product of love.

That means that you are made for love. You are not made for hate or fear.

You are made for life, not for death.

You are made for health, not for disease.

You are made for success, not for failure.

You are made for good things, not for bad things.

God loves you so much that He paid a big price to have you near Him, the price of His Son.

When Jesus Christ came to this earth, everything He did underscored how much God values people.

Love in Action

Jesus passed near a blind beggar by the name of Bartimaeus.

The blind man cried out, Jesus, have mercy on me! The crowd told him to be quiet, but when Jesus heard him, He stopped there in the road and said, Tell him to come here.Mar.10:46-52LB

Jesus is interested in people. He came to help us. He wants no one to live without sight or to be alone without friends or to be unhappy.

Bartimaeus jumped up and came to Jesus. What do you want me to do for you? Jesus asked. I want to see! the blind man said. And Jesus said, All right, its done! Your faith has healed you. And instantly the blind man could see, and followed Jesus down the road!Mar.10:46-52LB That is love in action.

In my parents crusade in the Democratic Republic of Congo (then known as Zaire), two blind women were healed. What a love gift from God.

Throughout the night they danced in the streets of Lubumbashi, telling the people about their healing miracle.

The good news about Gods big love-plan is that this Jesus is unchanged today. He wants to do for you whatever you need or desire Him to do.

The Healing Power of Love

One day a leper came to Jesus. The disciples said, Get him away. He is unclean. But Jesus said: No, let him come. He has faith.Mar.1:40-42

You see, the purpose of Christs coming was to help people, to save and to bless them. Love caused our Lord to reach out His hand and touch that leper and his flesh was instantly healed.

He is reaching out to you, as you read this book. His love-plan is to do whatever is necessary to lift you to total happiness, health and success.

Across the town of Kisumu, Kenya a leper woman called Miriam Gare, crawled on the ground to attend the Osborn crusade. Her fingers and her feet were gone. She carried her belongings in a basket on the back of her head as she crawled.

She heard about Jesus and believed on Him the first time she heard my father teach Gods love-plan. Christ came to her and Miriam got up on those stumps of legs and began walking and weeping and thanking God because she was miraculously cured. She became active in the local church whose pastor took a personal interest in her. She became a radiant witness of Jesus Christ and of His love in action.

God Is Never Mad at You

They brought a prostitute to Jesus one day. Self-righteous people said, Lets stone her to death. She is an unclean woman.Joh.8:3-11

But Jesus said: Wait a minute. God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world.Joh.3:17 You see, He values each human person.

He forgave her sins, made her pure and clean again and restored her self-dignity and self-esteem as a lady.
