J ERRY B RAZA , P H .D., HAS spent over twenty years as a university professor with multi-disciplinary training in health and psychology. Presently he is teaching at Western Oregon State College and consults with a variety of organizations and companies nationwide. He is continually seeking creative ways to introduce the beauty of mindfulness into the personal and professional lives of others by not only teaching but modeling the practice itself. He is motivated and encouraged by the words of Gandhi, My life is my message. In recent years he has worked with over ten thousand health professionals and employees in over two hundred companies and organizations. Personally he has been studying mindfulness with Thich Nhat Hanh and frequently visits his retreat center in Plum Village, France.
Jerry and his wife Kathleen recently moved to a beautiful and peaceful environment in Oregon where they find time to take mindful walks along the shore of the Willamette River. Living close to nature, they are exploring ways to live their life more simply and deliberately in the present moment. Kathleen is a counselor, writer, and professional clown. Jerry has two adult children, Mark and Andrea.
