Acknowledgments

I cannot do enough justice to the acknowledgement of Jack Winter as a major influence in my life. As a young Christian in Bible School, the Lord spoke to me in a clear voice telling me that He wanted me to be a Joshua to this man Jack Winter. For the following twenty-five years Denise and I were firstly disciples to him but then we became respectively a spiritual son and daughter to him. As Joshua assimilated all that the Lord had commanded Moses, I tried to assimilate all that the Lord had imparted to Jack. Before Jack died, he laid his hands on me and prayed for the impartation of his mantle of anointing. I am trying to continue as Joshua did after Moses died, to enter a land over the river from the point of Jacks passing.

I want to acknowledge with great affection John and Sandy Randerson, Jan and Sandra Rijnbeek, my wife Denise and my children, Jack Winter (again) and a few others who continued to believe in me, held me up and carried me when I was unable to stand on my own.

I want to thank Stephen Hill for his hours of work without which this text would not have been possible. And thanks also to Wilson and Erica Sze for their encouragement and determination to see this get into print.

I want to thank the people of Fatherheart Ministries International for the companionship and encouragement along the way as we have explored the love of the Father together.

Lastly - I simply cannot find words - I dont think there are any - that say, Thank You sufficiently to our God and Father for His amazing plan and His ability to perform it in my life. He was with me before I was a Christian and since I became a Christian He has been faithful to me - unimpressed by my successes or failures. He just loves me.

Preface

In 1977, Jack Winter saw something in the midst of the myriad refractions and reflections of the Christianity of that time. It was a blazing flash of pure light. He saw into the very heart of God the Father. The consequences are still reverberating throughout Christendom to this day.

Jack and Dorothy Winter had lived an amazing adventure till that day. Filled with the Holy Spirit and faith they had journeyed into the unknown, abandoning the world and its cares, and living with a level of dedication to the Spirit and to the Word of God that is very rare. Before long, hundreds of others from around the world had joined them in what was called Daystar Ministries. It was within this network of communities that Jack came across this opening into the Fathers heart.

For the remaining twenty-five years of his life, Jack dedicated the extraordinary resources of his rich inner life and profound ministry experience exclusively to ministering the love of God. He had realized that this love was actually a substance, which could be imparted and which could heal the broken-hearted. Crisscrossing the globe, he flew well over one million miles, and spent from dawn until dark each day holding many thousands of people in his embrace, and seeing the wonderful healing of God. I was one of those people. Jack had seen the reality of Gods fathering love the culmination of New Testament revelation.

This book tells of my personal journey towards and into that light. Jack was a spiritual father for me and, before he died in August 2002, he laid his hands on me to receive his mantle. But even the blazing revelation of the Fathers love that he had received was still only in part. There is always more. Here is the way I have found to the Father. His love being poured into my heart has led me from being simply a Christian into a life as a son of God. This has proven to be only the first step. There is always, excitingly, more. (James Jordan, Taupo 2012)

Chapter 1

The Fathers Revealing

~

Over the past fifteen years, I have travelled around the world more than thirty-five times, speaking in countless conferences and churches, sharing on the revelation of the Father. I often feel that the Lord takes me around the world simply to tell people what has happened in my life. Someone once said to me, James, you seem to think that the Fathers love is the answer to every problem in humanity. Do I really believe that? I believe it with all my heart.

The further I go on in this revelation of the Fathers love the more I am realizing that a complete renovation of Christianity is necessary. We have had a Christianity that is much too focused on what you have to do, and not on who God is and what He has done! Many of us carry the baggage of a presentation of the gospel that is false. We have been told what we must do from our initiative rather than what God has done from His initiative. We have been told that we have been blessed so that we will be a blessing to others. The simple fact is that we have been blessed because God loves us and because He just longs to bless us. We have been presented a gospel that tells us we must work for God but I can tell you that this will, eventually, cause you to crash and burn. More and more Christians are opting out of this type of Christianity and getting off the treadmill of continually trying to please God and work for Him.

What Christianity is about is simply this: God loves you and He wants you to live in the continuous experiencing of Him loving you. That is the whole point of Christianity. Coming to this realisation brings us into rest and contentment and an inner peace that is so contagious that people will be impacted just by who we are. We are in a renovation, a reformation, and a restoration of Christianity that is, I believe, as significant as the Reformation itself.

Knowing Jesus is not the same as knowing the Father.

So much of the impression that I have gained of Christianity over the years is that it is all centred around Jesus. The Father is really only mentioned in passing. Indeed, the Father seems to be in the background compared to the person of Jesus. I believe this is because we have such a focus on the person of Jesus. We have the idea that if we know Jesus and have experienced Jesus then we automatically know the Father. John 14:7 is one of the verses which people get this misconception from, when Jesus said, If you have seen Me you have seen the Father, but we need to remember that Jesus is not the Father and the Father is not Jesus. So Jesus was not saying, I am the Father. He never said that knowing Him was the same as knowing the Father. He said that the Father was in Him doing the works. He spoke words that the Father told Him to say. He said, I only do what I see my Father doing but He never said, I am the Father.
