ABOUT THE AUTHORS

Terry Richardson has lived in Turkey for over thirteen years. He first visited Istanbul in1978 and has been an author of The Rough Guide toTurkey for a decade and a half. He contributes regularTurkey-related travel features to UK and Turkish newspapers, leadsspecialist history tours around Istanbul, and helped set up twolong-distance walking trails in Turkey. When not travelling or climbing,Terry devotes rather too much time to following Middlesbrough FC.

Rhiannon Davies visited Istanbul for a week in autumn of 2012, was swept up by the richart, music and culinary scenes and never quite managed to leave. She spent18 months working as Arts and Culture Editor for The GuideIstanbul magazine, which allowed her to get under the skin ofher new favourite city, before breaking out into freelance writing. Shedelights in discovering obscure regional Turkish dishes, and dicing withdeath by exploring Istanbul on a bicycle.
