I also want to thank my agent Coleen OShea and her colleague Marilyn Allen from the Allen OShea Literary Agency for offering me this project, as well as the editors of Wiley Publishing for accepting me into their stable of writers.

I want to thank my excellent technical editor, Thomas Larson, PhD, Santa Barbara City College; Wiley acquisitions director Joyce Pepple, for her tremendous support; and Michelle Hacker, Carmen Krikorian, and Erin Calligan Mooney, for helping to acquire all the images in this publication.
