Curing IBS Naturally with Chinese Medicine: summary, description and annotation

We offer to read an annotation, description, summary or preface (depends on what the author of the book "Curing IBS Naturally with Chinese Medicine" wrote himself). If you haven't found the necessary information about the book — write in the comments, we will try to find it.

The most important message of this book is that most of what makes human beings ill is within their own power to control, and this is also true of Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS). In modern times, such things as improper eating habits, too much work, too little exercise, too much emotional upset, and not enough rest are at the core of most disease. Therefore, while this book describes the many safe and effective therapies that Chinese medicine has for the treatment of IBS, it is mostly a book about self-care and strategies for people to control their symptoms on their own. It is a book that, using Chinese medical theories, empowers patients to prevent the pain and suffering of this common condition. You can be healthy again!

Preface
I began my study of traditional Chinese medicine 12 years ago. In my classes at acupuncture school, as we studied various diseases, we would go over the Chinese causes of disease over and over again. These were always something like improper eating, too much work, too much emotional upset, not enough exercise, or not enough rest. I remember thinking that these were repetitive and rather simplistic ideas.
Now, having been in practice for eight years and having experienced both the effectiveness of Chinese medicine and the cohesiveness of its system of thought, I know that these ideas are not simplistic, but rather simple. They are also very powerful. I have come to see that these simple things that cause ill health according to the theory of traditional Chinese medicine are truly the cause of most disease. They are, by and large, also all within our personal power to control.
Therefore, in this book on irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), we will look at how IBS is diagnosed and treated in general by traditional Chinese medicine. We will then go on to discuss treatment by professional practitioners as well as numerous safe, no or low cost, and effective self-treatments. In Chinese medicine, it is said that the superior doctor is one who prevents disease. Such prevention is done by educating the patient. By writing this book on the diagnosis and treatment of IBS with Chinese medicine, I hope I have continued this tradition by giving those with this disorder the tools they need to help keep themselves healthy.
