About the Authors
Federica Ceci
is Full Professor at the University G. dAnnunzio and Adjunct Professor at LUISS Guido Carli University. She gained a Ph.D. in Management Engineering at the University of San Marino. She was the visiting student at London Business School (UK), SPRU (University of Sussex, UK), Linkoping University (Sweden) and Valencia University (Spain). She teaches Management and Innovation in Undergraduates Program, Corporate and University Master Courses. Her research interests focus on theory of the firm, management of innovation, the role of personal relationships and cultural values in enabling and diffusing innovation, analysis of managerial implications of digitalization of organizational process, dynamics and organizational characteristics of the deep web, digital ecosystems and platforms.
She has published in Research Policy, Industrial and Corporate Change, Journal of International Management, Industry & Innovation, Journal of Management and Governance, International Journal of Technology and Innovation Management and other Italian journals, and she participated to international conferences (Druid, Informs, AOM, Egos, Euram). She is an ad hoc reviewer for Industrial and Corporate Change; Industry and Innovation; Management Decision; International Journal of Technology Management; International Journal Innovation Management; International Studies in Management & Organization. She has also published a book with the Edward Elgar Publishing: The Business of Solutions (July, 2009) and a book with Routledge: Cultural Proximity and Organization: Managing Diversity and Innovation (Sept, 2020).
Andrea Prencipe
is the Rector of Luiss University and Full Professor of Organization Theory and Innovation. He is also a member of the UNHCR Italy Advisory Group of the Scientific Committee of Confindustrias Centro Studi, of the Scientific Committee of ENEL Foundation and of the Scientific Advisory Board Fondazione ENI Enrico Mattei. He graduated in Economics from the University of Chieti-Pescara G. DAnnunzio and holds a Master in Innovation Management from the SantAnna School of Advanced Studies as well as a Master in Management of Technological Innovation and a PhD in Innovation Studies from SPRU-University of Sussex. He has been Visiting Professor at the Rotterdam School of Management and BI School of Management and Honorary Professor at the University of Sussex. He has been invited speaker at various international universities, such as Harvard Business School, London Business School, University of Michigan, Oxford University, Linkping University, Cass Business SchoolCity University of London, and taught courses at Solvay Business School and the National Economic University of Hanoi.
