Jason Theodosakis, M.D., M.S., M.P.H., F.A.C.P.M., also known as Dr. Theo, is a practicing medical doctor. He is residency-trained, board-certified, and a Fellow in the specialty of preventive medicine. He is also fellowship-trained in Sports Medicine, a second specialty. His medical degree is from the University of Health Sciences/Chicago Medical School. He graduated summa cum laude with masters degrees in both Exercise and Sports Sciences and Public Health from the University of Arizona. His undergraduate education includes a double major (honors) in chemistry and biology from Florida International University.
Dr. Theodosakis divides his time between practicing clinical preventive medicine and sports medicine at the Canyon Ranch Medical Department, teaching, and volunteer activities. He is an assistant clinical professor at the University of Arizona College of Medicine and is the former director of the Universitys preventive medicine residency training program. He is on the oversight committee for the $16 million NIH trial on glucosamine and chondroitin and was named one of the worlds 14 greatest doctors by Rodale Press.
The original edition of his treatment program, The Arthritis Cure, resulted in a major paradigm shift in the way arthritis is treated. The Arthritis Cure is estimated to save thousands of deaths per year by reducing the need for dangerous medicines and surgery.
