I admire Ryan and Tyson for their passion of working with families to understand their financial goals and help build plans to achieve them. Introduction
Bob and Carol had both worked hard all their lives, saving and investing for their retirement. As this milestone drew nearer, though, they wondered if theyd done enough. Looking back over the years, they saw the patchwork of financial decisions theyd made. How did they fit together? What did those decisions mean to them now? What did they mean to their future? To their family s future?
Both Bob and Carol had a lot of concerns as they got closer to retirement. They were concerned about paying too much in taxes, the rising costs of healthcare, andthe big concern most people face in retirementflat-out running out of money.
Their concerns were more than financial, though. They wanted to build their best life, not just their wealth, in their golden years. They both wanted to become more involved in service to their church and their community. They also wanted to pursue what they loved; Bob wanted the time and the means to hunt and fish more, and Carol wanted to further explore her passion for painting.
And then, the big one: family. The couple wanted to take trips with their kids and grandkids. They wanted to make memories. Like we all do, right?
But could they? Despite all their efforts to work hard and save over decades, was it even possible?
Their questions were valid and all-too-common. Did you know that 40% of Americans are at risk of going broke during their retirement years? Did you know that whether youve saved a little or saved a lot, that percentage could still very well in clude you?
