Free Online Resources
Over the years I have witnessed firsthand a plethora of web based resources and websites being developed and made available to anyone. This instant access to information at our fingertips has created a marketplace whereby private investors have virtually the same access to information and resources as industry specialists.RP Data is perhaps the best example of this, as today, private investors have the same research and valuation tools as certified bank panel valuers.
With this ever growing volume of resources also comes confusion and an overwhelming feeling especially for new investors to the market. This new maze of information, forums, property software, educational products and resources needs to be safely navigated through, as there are a lot of dodgy products and companies out there, just like before the age of the internet.
Whilst the following directory is not all encompassing, it is designed to be used as a starting point of the main areas of property investing and the various products, forums and government bodies that are associated with it or may be of interest to you as a property investor.

Acknowledgements
The biggest acknowledgement that I would like to give is to my wife and best friend Mara, without whom, neither this book nor my journey in the world of property investing would probably ever have happened; she handed me an advertisement to attend a property investment seminar all those years ago. She gave me the support to become a real estate agent and a mortgage broker and a successful property investor. So, from the bottom of my heart, I thank her for exposing me to an alternate way of investing.
Also, I would like to acknowledge the many Australian authors and property educators who have, over the years, fuelled my passion and dedication to property investing. Some I have not yet met, whilst I have become good friends with others. I have read their books, followed their commentary in the media and attended their seminars and workshops over the years. They are, Jan Somers, Steve McKnight, Margaret Lomas, Dymphna Boholt and Bill Zhang and I acknowledge them for their ethical approach and contributions to the property investment arena in Australia.
