One of the biggest questions that I get askedover and over from gold and silver buyers is... "Where do Istore the gold and silver that I buy?" As simple as it sounds,there is no one simple answer. My motivation for writing this book wastwofold. Way back when I first starting purchasing silver and gold,I searched everywhere to find the answers contained in this book.It was not easy. I simply wanted to find the best places to storemy gold and silver. How hard could that be to find out, right? Asit turned out for me, a lot harder than I thought.

With diligent research I was only able tofind bits of information about individual storage options here andthere. I have yet to find any one publication anywhere near ascomprehensive and complete as this one. I believe it is veryimportant to understand and assess all of the available storageoptions and only then make the best decisions for yourself, basedon having all of the facts and information in front of you.

My other motivation for writing the book waspersonal. Ive been involved with gold and silver in one way oranother for decades. It seemed like I was always getting asked thestorage question. Quite frankly, I just got tired or telling thesame story over and over. Hence the book.

Due to whats going on with our economy, ourmassive Federal debt and concerns about the dollar, new metalsinvestors are purchasing physical gold and silver every day. Theyrealize they need to exchange some of their paper dollars which aredeclining in value, for a real store of value that is found inprecious metals. Quite a few of them purchase rather largequantities of metals, and dont have a clue about where to storethem once they get them.

A while back I had a medical doctor call andask for suggestions on the best way to store his metals. He wasobviously a very intelligent person and we had a great chat.Recently he had made the decision to start accumulating physicalgold and silver. For his very first purchase he wanted to purchase$600,000 worth of gold and silver.

However, he had no idea in the world as towhich metal he should buy more of (gold or silver), he had no ideawhat forms would be best to buy (coins or bars, etc.), and he hadno idea of where to store it nor how much space it would take up.He even asked me if he should rent a warehouse to store it in.

When I told him that if he put half of hisinvestment into gold, he would be able to put that much gold in hispants pockets, he almost dropped the phone. He quickly figured outthat he did not need to rent a warehouse to store his metals.

It just goes to show that it really does notmatter how smart someone is, storing gold and silver is a uniqueniche that requires its own specialized knowledge.

Before you invest your hard earned money intogold and silver, it really pays to stop and learn some of the insand outs of physical precious metals.

This book represents the collection of myresearch over the years. I have never been in law enforcement anddo not pretend to understand how the criminal mind works. Storingprecious metals does carry risk and you need to be aware ofthat.

You should do your own research and strive tochoose the options that best fit your personal needs, budget andrisk tolerances. Not all of the options reviewed in this book areright for everyone. You should carefully select only the optionsthat are right for you and your situation. As always, I recommendyou seek the advice of competent professionals before making anyimportant decisions in this area.

On a personal note; Due to the factthat I am in a gold and silver business and also write and publishbooks and web sites on the subject, I make it a strict policy tonot follow my own suggestions in that, I DO NOT store any of mypersonal metals in or around my home. Additionally, as I'm suremany of you already do, I maintain a respectable arsenal of my ownbecause these days, you sometimes have to rely on yourself.

I have been able to come up with some veryclever storage ideas over time that work very well for me, and theyare all described in this book. If you are somewhat of a publicperson, I suggest you do the same.

For everyone reading this book, I'm going toassume that you already have at least a basic understanding of theimportance of owning some physical gold and silver.

As our US dollar continues its downwarddecline, its diminishing value continues to erode our purchasingpower and our wealth. Many experts believe that gold and silverbullion offer investors the very best alternative to preservingtheir wealth.

Please don't allow yourself to be swayed bysome of the so called "experts" who tell you that paper silver& gold, (ETFs, mutual funds, certificates, stocks, etc.) areevery bit as good or better than actually owning the real physicalmetal.
