My goal in researching this information was never to write a book. Once my children suggested it, part of me cringed because I never thought I was a particularly good writer and the thought of doing a brain dump of all the relevant information I learned during a 20 year period seemed astonishingly difficult to me. But little by little things began to fall in place, in large part with the help and encouragement of a number of people. First, my wife Kelly who shouldered more than her fair share of what it takes to run a household during the past seven months so that I could organize my thoughts and write in relative peace-and-quiet. Her love, encouragement and belief in my ability to complete this project far exceeded my own and powered me through those times when I could have given up. My two wonderful sister-inlaws who, despite their hectic schedules with their own families, made time to review whatever I asked them to so I could obtain their fresh perspective. After my father and brother both died of cancer just three years apart 20 years ago, I began an impassioned quest to learn the keys to health so my new family would never suffer their fate.
Since then, Ive read hundreds of health books, spent thousands of hours researching on the internet, heavily experimented on myself with many different diets, products and supplements trying to figure out the differ-ence that makes the difference so getting healthy, lean and long-lived could be achieved easily and inexpensively for my family. I kept the best information I found in a file on my computer called Advice For My Children.
As I began to make sense of things, my family would discuss my findings around the dinner table. Questions from my children would often inspire further research. Then one night my children suggested I write a book about everything they were taught because Dad, lots of other people could benefit from this information also.So I began the journey to take all the information I learned from many different sources over the years and compressed it into a single book that contains everything you need and that anyone can understand and benefit from.
I am certain you will be incredibly shocked at how little you need to do to achieve your health goals. There is no pain of any kind involvedno dieting, strenuous exercising, special foods, expensive supplements or time consuming rituals. There are no tricks or gimmicks. You just do what is completely natural.
Although you need to do very little, you do need to do something very basic each day. Quite frankly, its so amazingly easy and inexpensive its almost laughable.
Once you give your body what it really needs, virtually all of your issues will self-correct because thats what your body is designed to doyour weight will normalize, your energy will soar, stress levels will plummet, pain will disappear, you will eat normally, you will sleep better, your hair may return to its natural color, your skin will become tighter, your body will become leanerall because you are giving your body the absolute foundation of what it needs.
I now believe what natural health experts believethat 85% or more of the chronic health, weight and aging issues that plague Americans today can be eliminated easily and inexpensively. Thats why my family wanted to share this information with everyone.

This book is about how to achieve health, leanness, and longevity easily and inexpensively. By longevity, I mean living to at least age 100!
Unlike diet books or programs, this book is not just about losing weight and getting lean. There are plenty of people who have lost a lot of weight who have not necessarily reduced their risk of getting a disease or dying before their timethey just look better. Plenty of thin and lean people get diseases and die young.
