To my dad who had the courage to be different. He left me with large shoes to fill but thankfully enough of a footprint, so that I can continue what he started. I truly hope this book helps you live a happier and healthier life.

INTRODUCTION
All truths are easy to understand once they are discovered.
The point is to discover them.
Galileo Galilei
S ince youre reading this book, I feel its safe to assume that you are suffering from back pain. I also assume that whatever you have been doing to treat your back pain hasnt worked. Lets be honest, who reads a book about back pain if theyve already found relief? This book contains my solution to most types of back painand my solution will become your solution. I can promise you it wont be overly technical.
It doesnt matter whether back pain plagues you daily or occasionally, has been creeping in or seems to have struck out the blue. If back pain is interfering with your life, now you have become a statistic. Yes. A statistic. Thats because 20% of the population is currently suffering from back pain, and 85% of people will suffer from it at some point.
Here are some other shocking truths Ive found:
- In April 2014, back pain became the number one reason people around the world took disability from work.
- Back pain is second only to the common cold as the reason people visit their doctors.
- Back pain is the third most common reason for hospitalization.
- It is the fifth most common cause for surgery.
- 33% percent of all people over the age of 18 have sought treatment for back pain in the last five years.
- Our healthcare system spends upwards of $80 billion on the diagnosis and treatment of back pain.
All these statistics lead to the obvious but concerning conclusion that back pain is a natural occurrence, and we need to learn how to cope with it. The majority of sufferers feel their back pain is inescapable and have resigned themselves to living with it. Even the most well-intentioned doctors often have you believing this inevitable reality and prescribe pain-killers to help you get by.
To me, the stats represent a dismal failurethe failure of our doctors in diagnosing and treating back pain. These stats are screaming for a completely different approach. The Sinett Solution is that completely different approach.
The truth about back pain is that you are still suffering because your doctor is only looking at your back. This means he or she is missing the source of your pain and has been misdiagnosing you. Proper back pain treatment is all about finding the correct root of the problemand often, the problem is not where the pain is. Back pain can be structural, right in the back, but it is most often caused by an imbalance elsewhere in the body, in your digestion or emotions. Yes, thats right. For most, the problem is not your back. Its your feet, your shoulders, your core, your stress, and your diet. Its the little choices that you have been making over time that have slowly been crippling the systems of your body, which are all impacted and manifest through the spine, the bodys great connector. If you have received back treatment and are still suffering, thats because your pain may not be coming from your back.
