This Study Guide offers the reader a chance to enhance his or her understanding of the materials presented in the textbook Aircraft Electricity and Electronics , 6th edition. The Study Guide presents a variety of sample questions and problems that can be used to test the readers understanding of aircraft electrical theory, design, and maintenance. The materials presented are directly applicable to current industrial practices and FAA (Federal Aviation Administration) regulations. This Study Guide is also an excellent reference to help the student with his or her preparation for the FAA airframe and powerplant mechanic exams.
The Study Guide is divided into 17 chapters. These chapters directly correspond to the 17 chapters of the accompanying textbook. Each chapter contains three sections: Study Questions, Multiple-Choice Questions, and Application Questions.
The Study Questions can be used to help the reader determine what information was retained after reading the text. Study Questions are fill-in-the-blank and arranged in the order of the materials presented in the text.
The Multiple-Choice Questions cover the chapter materials in a format similar to those questions used by the FAA for certification testing. These questions make an excellent FAA test-preparation guide.
The Application Questions are designed to test the readers knowledge of practical situations dealing with the materials presented in each chapter. Many of the Application Questions are complex and may require reference to the text in some cases.
Reading technical materials is a demanding task. Each chapter of Aircraft Electricity and Electronics , 6th edition, contains an enormous amount of information. In order to understand and retain this information, the student must take sufficient time to study as reading progresses.
