I want to dedicate this book to a bro who I thought would never be caught dead doing yoga. His name is George Hyder. George was a wild man, the kind of man that guys wanted to be and womenwell, they all loved George. He was an in-your-face boot-camp Marine sergeant personal trainer. You would never have guessed in a million years that George Hyder was also a yogi, but he was. Ill never forget the day he came up to me with that strong South Carolina accent and said: DDP, I was watching earlier, and Ive got to knowwhen did you start doing yoga? I was amazed that he knew what I was doing. I actually thought someone had put him up to it as a rib, but then he started going into all these one-legged standing positions, and I was truly blown away. He went on about how good yoga was for core strength and how it could really keep me from getting injured in the ring. I immediately asked George about personally training me in yoga, and he helped me take my yoga to a whole new level. He showed me that if guys like us were doing it, then there was a whole world out there just waiting to get the word from a Regular Guy.

Hey, guys!

Welcome to the e-book release of DDP YOGAs Yoga for Regular Guys.

We started to write this book back in 2004, and it was published in 2005. Since then, we have released the original YRG Workouts on DVD, the YRG Fitness System, and the DDP YOGA Workouts.

In May 2012, DDP YOGA exploded in the mainstream health and fitness industry after Arthur Boormans YouTube video went viral. Arthur inspired the world by using the DDP YOGA Workouts to help him lose 140 pounds in only 10 months. Even more amazing, he was able to get rid of his canes and his leg and back braces, SPRINTING right before our very eyes!

Our workouts have evolved a great deal over the years, and so have several of the DDP YOGA positions; for this rerelease of the book, we have updated most of the names of the positions. In this e-book you will find the foundation of ideas and principles that we have built on over the last nine years. We like to call this book the Old Testament, because it is here that we introduced the engaging of muscles when moving from one position to another (DDP YOGAs secret sauce, which we now call Dynamic Resistance), the importance of deep-belly breathing, the heart monitor, specific positions to help rehabilitate worn-down body parts, organic juicing, food combining, healthy eating for weight loss, and strategies to Hold Back the Hands of Time. Give me a f***ing break!

If youre anything like me, you know that even the sound of the word yoga will get you a sarcastic roll of the eyeballs and a loud Bronx cheer. I mean, come onYOGA! Yeah, sure, lets all sit around cross-legged, chanting to our inner peace while sucking down on wheat germ smoothies and feeling at one with the f***ing universe.
