About the author
Introduction
Faster is not always better or is it?
Everyone is crazy about everything fast and instant these days. Fast cars, fast food, instant dinners, instant dates and the list goes on. I do not want to be that archaic voice in your head telling you all good things take time. But, really, they do, just like falling in love, cooking a perfect dish, and learning a language like French.
Learning French takes time. Learning French is not like instant food. It is a Ratatouille or a Bouillabaisse that needs to be cooked low and slow for it to turn out deliciously well. However, while this is definitely a preferred approach to learning French, and one I firmly believe in, I also understand that slow is just not an option in some cases.
Whether you like it or not, sometimes learning at a slow pace is just not in the cards for you. So, you need a book that can teach you French very quickly.
For when slow is not an option.
Well, you have officially found that one book. Congratulations! This is it. You have stumbled upon a hassle-free internet resource that knows exactly what you need right now.
But before we continue, let me set the record straight: there is no way you can master French in just seven days.
Let that sink in for a moment.
I can imagine a lot of raised eyebrows and a smattering of what-is-this-guy-talking-about and wait-you-gotta-be-kidding-me looks right about now. But we need to be realistic about this process.
I have no intentions of giving you false hope and over-promising that you can be fluent in French in just a few days. Unless, of course, you are a language savant like Daniel Tammet, who can become fluent in any language within the span of a week.
Or, if you have magic beans. Or a language super-gene. Which is kind of the same thing, I think.
But wait... What is this book really all about then?
We have established that this book is not like one of those get-rich-quick/lose-weight-fast/learn-French-in-a-few-days hoax-type things you often come across.
What this book aims to do is:
- Speed things up a little by compressing basic French language instruction combined with immersion techniques for seven days of highly substantial French lessons.
- Guide you through the whole process by providing you with FREE audio material to help you speak and pronounce French words, not just quickly, but properly as well; improve your listening comprehension skills as the ONLY book of its kind that offers free audio at a low price point.
- Provide seven-day high-impact French language lessons grouped into easy-to-follow daily topics, exercises, and fun activities that include: Le Film du Jour (Film of the Day), La Musique du Jour (Music of the Day), and Lactivit du Jour (Activity of the Day).
- Build a stable starting point for learners who want to begin strong when learning French.
- Equip you with all the essentials you need to be able to form a basic grasp of the French language and arm you with enough know-how to help you get by in a French-speaking environment.
While I am not promising that you will be a whiz at French in seven days, I can promise you will learn all the basics of the French language FASTER and in a more immersive way through language lessons mixed with fun activities like watching French movies, listening to French music, and more, all with the help of free supplementary audio that you can listen to anywhere.
So, is this that one book -- the game-changer that totally gets you?
To find out, check all that apply:
You are:
- An impatient human being who cannot take months of lessons in order to learn French.
