This story focuses on one man by the name of DavidBraymer and his adventures as 1st Science Officer on the LunarBase 1 mobile base station. One of three base stations in obitaround Earth. This book is based on the turning point for Earthinto a new era of space travel and the beginning of the Age ofAquarius. David also has a romance with one of the locals inNew Smyrna Beach, Fla. Her name is Cheral Baskel a localrestaurant owner. Now during Davids experiences he encounterssome alien life forms, some friendly, some not so friendlythroughout the universe. David also experiences Earths firstspace battle and he ends up saving Earth and our new friends.We start our story in the year 2048 when Earth has an aggressivespace program. They have just completed two large mobile basestations called Lunar Base 1, 2, and are almost finished with thethird base station called Lunar Base 3. They are an eighth of amile long and about sixteenth of a mile in diameter. They alsohave one very big surprise. All three ships split into threeindependent working sections. In addition, all three sectionshave lasers and rockets and their own engine. They also haveshields that are a liquid that turns into a solid mass as hard as 4inches of steel, when exposed to the cold of space. They have acouple of lounges where everyone goes for fun. Now on theirmissions they encounter some new friends called the Powleens.They are very friendly and eventually they join Earth and saveEarth together. The Powleens are very tall, about seven feet toeight feet on average their legs and arms and torso are elongatedalso their neck. However, they are humanoid and angels fromheaven to Earth. When the Powleens arch enemy the Arcons findthem, it is not to good for Earth because Earth is caught in themiddle. Well one thing leads to another and before you know it,it is a all out space battle for our existence. I hope you will enjoymybookMoonPeoplebecauseitsactionpactfromthebeginning to the end. beautiful sunny day in Daytona Beach Florida with a man by thename of David Braymer. A 45-year-old single man that works atthe local high school as a science teacher. He also teachesastronomy in the 12-grade level. Now he has been at this schoolfor about 5 years. David has become somewhat partial to ayoung lady by the name of Cheral Baskel, a local restaurantowner in Daytona Beach Florida. At the moment, Cheral ispreparing her restaurant for another shuttle launch at the Cape.Everyone always gathers at her place because you can see thelaunch real good there. It is right on the water and its real closeto the Cape. She always decks the place out right before a launchtoo. David always goes to cherals place before work everymorning for breakfast because it is on his way to his school. Hehas never missed a shuttle launch at Cherals place since hesbeen at his school. David was not always a teacher. Before hewas a teacher, he use to work for the government for U.F.O.research about five years ago. He didnt like the job that muchbecause he was always bored. He really wanted to teach anywayand when the job at the school came up, he grabbed it. Today isalso Oct.27 in the year 2048. The next shuttle launch at the Capeis on Halloween. There has been some unusual events the last 2shuttle launches though. They would get right up to the launchsequence and then stop the launch for some kind of weirdproblem. Now everyone is very suspicious about the next launchon the 31 because of it being Halloween. They have also beenlaunching three shuttles a week. Most of the people going backand fourth on the shuttles are workers, working on the threehuge mobile base stations orbiting the Earth. Two of which arejust about finished. They have also been trying to get David tojoin the crew on the U.S.S. Lunar Base 1 for about 2 years.Which is one of the base stations that is almost completed?However, he declines gracefully because hes a little scared ofthe launch process, Plus he likes the school hes at. Everybodylaughs about the way the base stations look. They look like agiant empty toilet paper holder from Earth. With one hugeengine on the back of it. From in front of the engine on theinside to the front of the base station on the inside are alldocking bays. Theres ten stories from top to bottom and allthree base stations are a sixteenth of mile in diameter and abouta eighth of a mile long. They constantly rotate for gravity whenthey are in operation. The U.S.S. Lunar Base 1 and 2 are rotatingat this time, and in about 3 months the Lunar Base 3 will startrotating. The reason why they want David is his knowledge ofthe stars, also because he worked for U.F.O. research. They paythe workers a lot of money to work on the base stations becauseit is so dangerous and he would be an officer if he did decide tojoin the U.S.S. Lunar Base 1. First it starts on its mission to Marsfor 6 months. Then off to Saturns moon Titan. The U.S.S. LunarBase 2 will first go to Venus for a year. Then it will head toPluto and its moons. U.S.S. Lunar Base 3 will go first to Jupiterfor a year and then go to the outer parts of our solar system andbeyond. They are also paying big money to either go to ourmoon base and our Mars base to work for a ten year period.Now on this day David is on his way to the restaurant likealways listening to his radio. His favorite song is playing whentheresainterruptioninthebroadcastontheEmergencyBroadcast System this is K92 FM we take you live to NASAwith a special report. This is Steve Slader live on channel 9.Ladies and gentleman today NASA observatory has spotted ahuge meteor headed toward Earth at a high rate of speed.Coming very close. However, NASA officials believe that it willnot hit Earth. It appears to be the size of a small moon. They arealso concerned about it hitting the Sun or our moon. Theybelieve if it hits any other planet we should be alright, butNASA experts need to do some more studies and urge everyonenot to panic. Were not sure about anything yet. What we doknow is, its coming from the direction of the constellation ofScorpio at the tail area, heading this way going approximately60000 miles an hour and it is a planet killer! We repeat pleasedo not panic, now we resume to your regular programming.David was thinking to himself. Oh my God, this is unbelievable.I cant believe this! Could this be the end of us all, that everyonepredicted? There were a lot of religious leaders predicting theend of the world recently. The topic at the time was veryfrightening. I wonder if Cheral heard it on the news at therestaurant. As David pulls in to cherals place, he sees many ofthe regular locals parked in the parking lot like normal. As hegets out of the car, he also notices everyone inside looks normal.As he comes through the door Cheral comes over with a bigsmile on her face. Hi stranger, as she looks at Davids face sherealizes something is wrong. Then Cheral says, you look likeyouve just seen a ghost. Whats wrong? David took the worriedlook off of his face and answered, nothing really, have you heardthe news of the day yet? No Cheral replied, I just got done in thekitchen and came out and seen you. Why whats wrong? ThenDavid said, its really nothing to panic about. Well, I just heardsomething on the radio just minutes ago. They said that therewas a big meteor coming right at us from the constellation ofScorpio. Yeah sure thats real funny, Ha Ha. Then David said,no really Cheral Im not kidding! Turn on your TV. Thereshould be something on there now. Ill bet its on every station.Cheral looks at David kind of funny and looks over at one of herregulars sitting by the TV and said Bill can you turn on the TVthats behind you for me? Bill answered, sure for you anything.Then Cheral said could you put it on channel 9 please? Sure Billanswered. Then on came the TV. The reporter Steve Slader wastalking about the meteor. NASA reports were saying the meteoris increasing in speed. It appears that the meteor is going 69,000miles an hour and is climbing in speed at the rate of 1,000 milesan hour every 6 hours. This is Steve Slader. I take you live toNASA observatory to talk to Herbert Larson head astronomer.(Herbert Larson) At approximately 3:55am this morning wespotted a giant meteor in the constellation of Scorpio coming inour direction. At the current rate of speed, it should be here inabout 178 Days. Now we believe its going to miss us by about25000 miles. Its going to be real close, we will be following itvery closely.Wehaveexpertsonthisallovertheworld.Everyone right now is busy trying to calculate where the meteoris going, and if it is going to hit us when it arrives, in about 178days. Ladys and gentleman hopefully with Gods help, nothingwill go wrong and we will see the most spectacular event theworld has ever seen since the beginning of time. We will begiving you more information as soon as we know more. Pleaseits very important not to panic, it wont help at all. It will onlymake things worse. Now we take you back to your regularprogramming. The news reporters seem to always make things alittle more scarier than they need to be for effect. Now whenDavid came in before everyone knew, it sounded like a regularrestaurant with regular restaurant noises. As the reporter startedtelling everyone what was going on you could here a mouseburp. Then at the end of the report you heard everyone say thesamethreewords,OhmyGod.Abouthalfthepeopleimmediately got up with a terrified look on their face and saidwe have to go, and they paid their tab and left. Then one ofcherals regular customers in the other half of the restaurant saidIm not going to panic. Hell, it might not even come close to us.Then David said, it would probably collide with something waybefore it comes near us . Im going to go ahead and eat. Im notgoing to panic either. Then everyone realized who David wasand what he did for a living. Then everyone started to calmdown and listened to what he was saying. Suddenly everybodywent ahead and ate their breakfast. David turned to Cheral with asmile and Cheral said 222? David said you know me, yes maam.Coming right up Cheral replied. She had a sexy smile on herface and then went to the kitchen. David grabbed the newspaperand sat down at his usual booth and started reading the paper. Inno time, one of Cherals waitresses came out with his breakfast.David ate pretty quickly. He put five dollars on the table andwent over to the door of Cherals kitchen and smiled. He lookedat Cheral and said, that was one good breakfast. That was surequick Cheral replied. Then David said, yeah I know. You knowwhat? Ive been coming here for a long time and you know wenever really got to know each other all that well. Do you thinkmaybe that, David seemed to be a little nervous? Well I waswondering if you would like to go out with me some time?Cheral put a sexy smile on her face and said, you know I wouldreally like that a lot. David put a big smile on his face. Thatsgreat, how about Friday night? Cheral said, ok that sounds goodto me. Super, David answered and was very happy becauseCheral said yes. Thats a date then. Ill see you on Friday. WellIll see you tomorrow morning for breakfast too. Then he saidbye and went on to school. As he was driving to work he noticeeveryone seem to be driving a little crazy and yelling at eachother. When he got to school, he notice everyone was runningaroundpanicking.Everybody wastellingeveryonetocalmdown. When he got to his room and got settled in. A couple ofhis best students Billy Berenson and Cathy Rigby arrived. Theywere a little panicked and asked David, Mr. Braymer did youhere the news? Sure, David replied. Im going to hook up mynew telescope and we will all watch it as it gets close to Earth.This is a special telescope that can see during the day. It is oneof the latest telescopes out. Their expensive but they work well.You can hook it up to your computer and watch it on yourmonitor. With our new chalkboard size class computer monitor.We can watch it real good in the classroom, and its highdefinition too. All you need is the correct coordinates laid in.Then Billy said, thats pretty cool professor. Yeah that is coolCathy replied! David spoke up and said Ive got to go to theoffice to get some forms. I will be right back so be good. Billyand Cathy both said, O.k. Mr. Braymer. As David arrived at theoffice. Everyone was very busy and a little panicky. It was closeto chaos. He went over to the principals office and walked in.The principal Mike Lever looked at David an said Im gladyoure here. I just received a phone call this morning fromNASA. Asking about you and wanting to talk to you. They saidit was pretty important. They gave me a number for you to call. Itried to find out what it was about but he wouldnt tell me. Illbet it has something to do with the meteor doesnt it? I dontknow, David answered. Ill call and find out and let you knowMike. David went ahead and got his forms and went back toclass. When he got back most of his students were starting toarrive. Everyone one was kind of loud so he told everyone tocalm down and please sit down. Everyone could start studyinghis or her books for Fridays test I have to make a phone call andIll be right back. David went to the teachers break room andcalled the number.
