Wise Children is a new theatre company created and led by Emma Rice. It is the beginning of a new chapter, and the culmination of the practice and ethos Emma has developed over her unique 30 year career. From our base in the South West, we will create landmark work with exceptional artists, challenge outmoded touring models, train the next generation of creative practitioners through Emma Rices School for Wise Children and discover the creative spaces of the future.
Wise Children s first public performance, which was also the first performance of this production, took place at The Old Vic, London, on 6 October 2018.
Wise Children is supported by Arts Council England as a National Portfolio Organisation and the production is made possible by the generous support of The Broughton Family Charitable Trust, The London Community Foundation, and Cockayne Grants for the Arts.
Wise Children is a Resident Company at The Old Vic and an Associate at Bristol Old Vic.
