The Pansy sisters lived in a blue flowerpot next tothe village pond. They shared the pot with Basil, Rosemary andFrog.

At this moment,they were chatting in a lively manner about all the new happeningsin the village. The Pansy sisters especially, liked a good gossipit helped to pass the time.
En este momentoestaban charlando animadamente sobre los nuevos acontecimientos enel pueblo. A las hermanas Pensamiento, especialmente, les gustabachismorrear porque ayudaba a pasar el tiempo.

Basil thought for a long time, the plants were not goinganywhere.
Tienen que tenerdientes dijeron las hermanas Pensamiento, las ranas comeninsectos, y a m no me gustara tragarme una mosca entera. A ti tegustara, joven Albahaca?
Albahaca pens por un largo rato, las plantas no estaban yendo aninguna parte.

"No, I wouldnot want to swallow a fly. What about you Rosemary?" Basil replied,hoping that the Pansy sisters would stop staring at him.
No, no me gustaratragarme una mosca. Y a ti Romera? respondi Albahaca, con laesperanza de que las hermanas Pensamiento dejaran de mirarlefijamente.

Rosemary waswatching Frog wallow in the water.
"What did you say Basil?" she said, not sounding veryinterested.
Romera estabamirando como Rana chapoteaba en el agua.
Qu has dicho Albahaca? dijo, no sonando muyinteresada.

At that moment,Frog came out of the water towards the flowerpot. Frog was big! Hewas fat too!
En ese momento Ranasali del agua viniendo en direccin al tiesto. Rana era grande!Y tambin gordo!

"Frog is sobig", laughed Basil.
All the plants laughed. It was so funny. Frog was such a very, verybig frog.
Rana es tangrande! rio Albahaca.

Frog frowned.
"Are you sure you want me to jump?"
"Jump! Jump!" shouted the plants excitedly.

Rana frunci el ceo.
Estis seguros de qu queris que salte?
Salta! Salta! gritaron entusiasmadamente lasplantas.

Frog jumped!Not very high but the ground shook.
"Gosh!" said the plants, "Jump Frog, jump!"
Rana salt! No muyalto pero la tierra se sacudi.
Uaohhh! dijeron las plantas, Salta, Rana, salta!

Frog lowereddown to the ground and jumped, for a moment blocking the sun. Theground shook like an earthquake.
Rana se agach ysalt por un momento tapando el sol. La tierra tembl como unterremoto.

The little blueflowerpot, with all the plants in it, bounced high in the air.Ripples spread across the village pond.
"This is fun," said Frog.
