This will be my third book in four years! Why am I writing yet another book on the subject of covered call writing? What does this have to do with a casino? The unusual aspect to this situation is that none of the books were planned; they just happened. Heres how it all started:

In 1972 I graduated from NYU Dental School and embarked in my professional career as a general dentist. I soon came to the realization that it would be prudent to invest some of my income to help make a better life for my family. To that end, I endeavored to educate myself on the intricacies of real estate investing and the stock market. Several years later I owned multiple properties, both commercial and residential, in four different states. A local real estate club on Long Island heard about some of the deals I had executed in Austin , Texas and asked me to speak before 250 club members about these transactions. During the course of my presentation, I mentioned that I purchased my first property with the profits I generated from selling stock options called covered call writing. Much to my surprise, I was inundated with requests to explain covered call writing and how I was able to use this strategy to turn handsome profits. Finally, I decided to hold a seminar to address the questions posed by these inquisitive investors, which, in another pleasant surprise, was a complete sellout! I continued to write more advanced seminars, which only increased the interest of these prospective covered call writers. One day I turned to my wife Linda and said, I have a book here! That moment of enlightenment led to the penning of Cashing in on Covered Calls . I owe a sincere debt of gratitude to you, my fellow blue collar investors, for making my first book such a success.
