Surbhi Rastogi is a young, keen learner, and dedicated author who has been writing books for about eleven years. She obtained her MCA degree from Garhwal University and graduated from Kurukshetra University. She has written many books on Computers in English and Hindi which have been used as textbooks in various Universities. Her book Programming in Java was awarded a prize in technical writing from AICTE.

With more than 15 years of IT experience, Ashish Mishra holds strong grip and knowledge on Information Technology (IT) and Information Security (IS) domain. He is experienced with managing enterprise IT&IS Operations with in-depth knowledge to Public and Private Cloud landscape which includes but not limited to Transformation journey, project management, transition management, and Service Delivery.

He possesses more than 50 professional certifications across various Technologies and Platform around Public and Private Cloud, Cloud and Data Security, Network Security, Compliance management, Cloud Security Posture management (CSPM), Project and Transition management and many more.

Cloud computing is a modern-day technology that provides you with an online infrastructure and services to fulfil the needs and demands of the business and organizations. It offers robust innovative technology which provides scalable, convenient, on-demand and pay-per-use access to a pool of resources and services. Cloud computing provides users with a vast number of services, which covers the basics of storage, networking and processing powers and office applications. It greatly impacts our real life in many ways.

This book is an effort to make the reader understand the basics of cloud computing in a simple, lucid way. This book has been designed keeping in mind the requirements of students studying in various educational programs at the college level. This book will serve as a text book on cloud computing for them. This book includes a comprehensive coverage of various topics related to cloud computing technology.

The book has been divided into four sections comprising a total of 12 chapters. Section I consists of the basics of cloud computing, which is necessary to understand the foundation of cloud computing technology. Section II acquaints the reader with cloud service models and deployment models. Each model represents a different part of cloud computing stack. Different cloud service models and deployment models are available that are helpful in fulfilling needs of the user.

Section III introduces the reader to virtualization technology. Virtualization is the foundation of cloud computing. It revolutionized the way same resources can be used in more than one organization. Part IV describes various advanced concepts of cloud computing. It includes cloud management, data storage and security, cloud operations, technologies, cloud service providers, cloud cube model, and mobile cloud computing.
