Section 2 is called anindividual long turn and you are to read the section to yourself,spend 60 seconds making notes, then speak for 2 minutes answeringthe questions in a logical order. Section 3 containsharder questions that test your tenses, vocabulary and logicalthinking skills.
Youre also expected to talk longer in thissection. If in doubt, waitfor the examiner to stop you from talking. Always talk more thanyou need to. It shows how confident you are in speaking English. In the real exam, the speaking test shouldlast for 12-14 minutes, though some attendees have reported shorterlengths and others longer, depending on the unique situation of theIELTS testing centre.
