Introduction

A n EMP attack is a silent electromagnetic wave that will silently attack a power grid and leave millions of people without electricity. It is one of the catastrophic disasters that can happen to humanity, especially now with the advancement in technologies. EMP will attack every electronic appliance on its path that can be devasting to our lives since we are used to this gadget for our daily survival.

An EMP attack can cause serious problems that can affect the normal lives that people are used to. Water supply lines will be affected leading to shortages that will affect a lot of people since water for cooking and cleaning will not be available. Nuclear reactors will explode due to the lack of power that can ensure that the reactors are cooled. Exploration of the reactors due to overheating will also be dangerous to humanity due to the radiation fallout.

It is always important to learn a thing or two on how you can protect yourself from the imminent danger of the EMP attack. The simple things that we always take for granted are the ones that can help us to survive the situations and come out successful. In such kind of situations, money becomes an illusion. The value of money cannot measure up to the importance of food that is scarce due to farming machines not functioning.

People should always ensure that they are safe during an EMP event and stay clear of petty crimes. It is always good to behave rationally in the situation even though the society has broken down. When the community will be restored back to normal the ones who committed,atrocities will be held responsible for their actions.

Chapter 1 How to Carry Yourself in EMP Event

N ever underestimate the danger

When you are in an EMP situation, never assume an uncertainty and look down at it. For you need to depend on this principle. Your survival depends on this principle, where you have to study the rules of survival psychology. After studying you should have an immediate plan to escape and survive the situation at hand. Note that when caught up in an EMP situation you should never hesitate to avoid or save yourself because you may die if you keep on lingering around the EMP zone.

When you are in EMP you will always know by the telltale signs, for example, the phone will not work, cars are not operating, and the lights are out. But if the situation is an ordinary blackout then the cellphones will be unaffected, and the cars will run well. You should always be swift in response but honorable so that you do not lose your mind and become another problem to deal.The day the society will be restored you will certainly be dealt with, so you should always take care. Power failures can lead to thesocial breakdown of major towns and cities. It leads to situations where ordinary rules no longer apply, but you should always stick to the rules to avoid future problems.

Expect anything to Happen

No one in the world knows what lies ahead; we all hope for the best but at the same time we all prepare for the worst. Things that you should expect to happen are like, airplanes falling from the sky into your path and cause devastation. You can have loose wires that may cause ashock to individuals or the whole group. Surges may occur, and massive fires may be caused which can instantly kill you or cause serious damages that are irreparable. The fire burns matter that release carbon monoxide into the atmosphere, and can cause death due to its poisoning.

Passages may become impassable, and you will have to seek other routes that you can use to escape the danger at hand. The power surges can lead to the prisoners escaping from prison, and Marshall Laws may be in progress to combat rioting. It can lead to situations where children are used as decoys. Expect thequick spread of disease because of the lack of power and medicine to ensure that they are running as they are supposed to, and food may eventually be confiscated.

It is a situation where you should expect people to start eating their pets, and even their fellow human beings. The swimming pools may be the place where massive graves are, nuclear plants will not stay calm and as a result it will lead to thedetonation of the plants. But there are people especially strangers who will be kind and help save your life as well as others. Anything can happen so you should always ensure that you are ready for any eventuality.
