Preface
In keeping with the fine tradition of CliffsNotes, this guide was developed by leading experts in the field of test preparation. The instructors and authors at BTPS Testing have successfully helped thousands of graduate school candidates prepare for the GRE for more than 35 years. The material, strategies, and techniques presented in this guide have been researched, tested, and evaluated in GRE preparation classes presented at leading California universities and colleges.
During our many years of conducting GRE test-preparation classes, a common theme emerged among graduate candidatestheir concern about the GRE Quantitative Reasoning section. CliffsNotes GRE Math Review was designed and written specifically to address these concerns. This book offers an easy-to-follow, positive, and systematic learning experience that maximizes the learning of math skills and concepts. Diagnostic tests provided in each review chapter help evaluate proficiency in each quantitative topic area. The comprehensive math review material provides valuable exam-oriented approaches, instructional tools, and practice exercises. To aid in your conceptual understanding of math, this study guide uses nontechnical language consistent with the terminology and conventions you will need to know for the GRE.
If you follow the lessons and strategies in this book and practice regularly, you will statistically increase your odds for improving your score on the Quantitative Reasoning section of the GRE.
