The No-Cry Sleep Solution for Toddlers and Preschoolers will eliminate some sleep problems instantly, with nothing more than a better definition of what is normal. It will help identify those few sleep problems that may require medical or professional attention. Of course, the majority of questions and struggles fall somewhere in between, and for these Pantley offers an extensive collection of gentle and loving tools from which to customize sleep plans that are considerate of the whole familys needs.

The No-Cry Sleep Solution for Toddlers and Preschoolers is a welcome alternative to cry it out advice. A crying child is a child in need, and leaving him or her alone to cry to sleep is not responding to the childs need or solving any sleep problems. Pantleys approach makes sense and is a child-friendlyand family-friendlyapproach to sleep problems, something we have been in search of for a long time.

As a physician and a parent there are no other resources that I recommend as highly or as often as Pantleys books. The No-Cry Sleep Solution for Toddlers and Preschoolers provides parents with the tools necessary to successfully guide their children (and themselves) sensibly and sanely to a good nights rest. Elizabeth Pantley has done it again.

Foreword
Iadore toddlers and preschoolers. They're curious, fun, and charming. They have a contagious and boundless enthusiasm for life. These little folks have an abundance of energy and never seem to decelerate, even when it's time for sleepwhether it's naptime or bedtime.
In my work with families for almost thirty years, I have learned that sleep issues often dominate during the early years of a child's life, likely because when a child isn't sleeping well, neither are the parents. Furthermore, when a child's sleep is disturbed, his entire personality is affected. Lack of sleep brings an increase in health problems and negative behaviors, such as whining and tantrums.
