Advance praise for
The No-Cry Sleep Solution for Newborns
Yet again, Elizabeth Pantley spins her baby magic! She continues to tower above her competitors by showing us, more than anything, her uncanny ability to hone in on what babies really need, and how best to give it to them. Stressing with sensitivity the uniqueness of different families, she still manages to teach us how to take advantage of our own infants innate capacities to sleep, but while doing so, reminds us to be open to the messages our babies whisper to us.

It was a genuine pleasure to read such a well-presented, honest and evidence-based book. This is a complex area, and it is commonly difficult to separate opinion from evidence-based observations. The No-Cry Sleep Solution for Newborns manages to make these distinctions very clearly, and provides sensitive and compassionate ideas of what does or might work, together with clear descriptions of the reality of caring for a young infant.
Recognizing the important information in scientific studies of infant sleep, this is the first book I have seen that translated many of these insights into a usable form for parents. Further, Pantley recognizes that everyone is different, and thus a range of options is more valuable that a single one size fits all approach. I will be pleased to commend this book to parents as a very valuable contribution to their bookshelf.

Expectant and new parents, take heed! This is the one sleep book you need to read before your little one arrives, or immediately after birth. It will set a pattern not only for better sleep, but also for a healthy, nurturing relationship with your children for a lifetime to come.

When parents ask about sleep training, Im happy that I can recommend an alternative: a book that allows everyone to get the sleep they need without resorting to potentially harmful cry-it-out methods. Thank you, Elizabeth Pantley, for The No-Cry Sleep Solution for Newborns. Its just what we need.

The No-Cry Sleep Solution for Newborns is a brilliant guide for parents of infants. If you feel strongly, as I do, that human newborns should be treated gently, their needs respected, and their parents supported, you will find much to like in this book. It contains helpful strategies for supporting your babys natural sleep behaviour and coping with the sleeplessness that goes with the territory of having a new baby. This book will be a key resource for parents of new babies, and for those who seek to support them.
