International Dark-Sky Association Sites
The International Dark-Sky Association (IDA) recognizes various categories of sites that offer areas where the sky is dark at night, free from light pollution and particularly suitable for astronomical observing. A number of sites in Great Britain and Ireland have been given specific recognition and are shown on the map. These are:
