Thank you to my wonderful Husband Mark who supports me in all I do - K.P. Billy loved the sunshine, and really loved the rain, and when they mixed together, his Rainbow would be made. But one day when the rain did fall, and the sun shone in its glory, the Rainbow did not form herself: the start of this sad story. Billy climbed the hillsides, to look into the skies, but still no Rainbow formed herself, so Billy sat and cried. Then whilst he sat and sobbed out loud, a friend came walking past, Meg asked Billy why he cried, so Billy blurted fast.. Meg you see my Rainbow, has fallen from the sky, I see her in the puddles now, can you tell me why? I will answer that dear Billy, for we are part to blame, we and many others, turn our backs on future days.

We set fire to all our junk and trash, burn fossil fuels for power. We cut down trees that help us breathe, and grow cows instead of flowers. Our crops are sprayed with pesticides, which help to kill our bees. All these things combined you see, are making Rainbow wheeze. The raindrops that she sits in now are small and so impure, the pollution that we send her, is rising, thats for sure. If we dont recycle, our pile of trash will rise, its toxic fumes will gather, just above our skies. The pollution that we send above, is causing so much damage, but if we work together, our Earth might still be salvaged. This issue we must understand, is crucial to our world. The ozone is dissolving, and our story must be told. This layer has a hole within; to mend needs our respect, as some of it has come about, because of our neglect. The ozone is like a blanket, that keeps our world so safe, it stops the bad rays from the sun, from scalding our playing space. So Rainbow has decided, to come down and cool her stripes, on a thousand drops of rain she fell, and now floats there in fright. Rainbow says that if she rises, the fumes will make her sore, soon the blanket around the world will fray. Our Earth will be no more. We all should hear this message, children its up to you, recycle now and save our world, make Rainbow happy too. For when she sits up in our skies, so beautiful and clear, her radiance will shine on you, with colours oh so dear. So Billy please remember, the words from Meg your friend, recycling helps to save our world, and with your help could mend. There may be some reminders, floating in the streets, within a puddle there could be some colour-laden streaks.

These beautiful reminders, are rainbows shouting out.. RECYCLING HELPS TO SAVE OUR WORLD, OF THAT WE HAVE NO DOUBT!
