Fold in half, corner to corner, both ways. Unfold. 
Fold the top and bottom left edges to the vertical crease. The left corner is folded in half. 
Outside-reverse-fold the top corner to make the beak. Outside-reverse-fold the top corner to make the beak. Fold up the wings on each side. 
Mountain- and valley-fold the wings to make them fan-shaped. 
Inside-reverse-fold the tail down. 
Inside-reverse-fold the tail up. 
Mountain-fold the back corners in.

Step 1, valley-fold diagonally both ways. Step 2, fold the top two edges of the diamond to the horizontal center while you fold the top corner in half (step 3). Repeat 2 and 3 on the bottom and to the back. 
Fold the corner flat, to the left. Repeat behind. 
Squash-fold the corner evenly.

Fold the bottom corner of the kite shape to the top corner. Layers of paper from below will pull up and go along with it. Flatten these. This will become the tail. Look for the correct shape in step 5.

Fold the tip of the tail down. Fold the top portion, behind the tail, to the back. Fold up the bottom portion in front. 
Narrow the wings by folding down the indicated edges, left and right. 
Valley- and mountain-fold the point of the head to form the beak.

Mountain-fold the body in half, nose to tail.
