and phones that do more than talk . We can print
new organs . Or search for aliens . Its hard to imagine

On
the
Move
In todays world , we are always on the move .
With so many forms of transportation , its easy to
get to where we want to go . In fact , we can be on
the other side of the world by tomorrow!
Flying Cars
Today , cars can seem as if theyre driving us
rather than the other way around . The latest cars
can park themselves. They can read text messages
and call without any help from drivers .
Theres even a car that flies . It looks like a small
helicopter . But its designed to fly in the air
and drive on land . Flying cars should be available
to buy in 2014 .
A Driver in

In the future , drivers may not need to
do much driving . Carmakers are already
testing cars that drive themselves .
Perhaps , someday , we will all just
relax while the computers in our
cars drive us around .

Car manufacturers know its easy for drivers to get
distracted while driving , and distractions can be dangerous.
Researchers are currently working on ways to monitor the
drivers body for clues . Changes in temperature , heart rate ,
or breathing may mean the driver is stressed . Researchers
want to find out when making a phone call or changing the
song on an MP3 player is safe and when it could be deadly .
If the car can tell the difference , it can help the driver pay
attention to the road when its most needed.
