Daddy and Lee are speaking in the car.
D addy
Good morning, Lee. Is Pat ready yet? Its nearly time to go.
L ee
No, she isnt ready yet. Shes still in the bathroom. Why does she always take so long in the bathroom?
D addy
I dont know. I dont know what she does in there. Do you know, Lee? Its your sisters birthday this week.
L ee
Yes, I know. I have a nice present for her already. I bought it last week.
D addy
Oh, Im pleased to hear that. I like it when you are kind to your sister.
L ee
I know you do, but its difficult sometimes. At school, Pat doesnt like to play with me and my friends.
D addy
Oh, why is that?
L ee
She doesnt like my friends, and she doesnt like the games we play.
D addy
Oh, I see. Well, girls dont usually like boys games, do they?
L ee
No, they dont. Why is that? Do you know?
D addy
Well, boys and girls are interested in different things. Boys and girls are not the same.
L ee
Oh, youre right about that. In the morning, I get ready very quickly, but Pat always takes a really, really long time. Is that because shes a girl?
D addy
Oh, I dont really know, Lee. Oh, look! Heres Pat now. Now Lee, please remember, be nice to your sister!
L ee
All right. Ill be nice to her this week because its her birthday this week.
