What every lotto book teaches us is to keep balance in terms of low/high, odd/even, consecutive/non-consecutive numbers and sum of numbers. This is 80 % zone. This means that 80 % of all combinations have this pattern in terms of balance.

What makes a balanced combination? If it is about six numbers game, the balanced combination is made of 3 odd and 3 even numbers, out of which there are 3 low and 3 high numbers. Combination may (not necessarily) contain two consecutive numbers.

It could also be 4 odd and 2 even, or 4 even and 2 odd numbers spread in a way that there are 2 low and 4 high or 4 low and 2 high numbers. Furthermore, you can combine 4 odds and 2 even with 3 low and 3 high and alike. You got the point here.

One more thing about balance is the sum of numbers drawn. The sum of numbers drawn tends to be equal to the middle number from the pool multiplied by number of balls drawn.

What does this mean?

For example, if six numbers are drawn from the pool of 45 (6/45 lottery), the number in the middle is 23. When you multiple 23 by 6 (number drawn), you get 138. We expect the sum of numbers drawn to be around 138 most of the time , but sometimes it will go under 80 and sometimes it will be above 200. You should create a combination in a way that sum of numbers is in the range of let us say 115-160. You can adjust it to 100-170 or 120-155 or whatever you like. The point is that most combinations sum up to around 138. Not 50, not 350, but around 138.

Once again, these numbers are examples from the 6/ 45 lottery. If you play 5/35, then value in the middle is 18 and you multiply by five (numbers drawn). Result is 18 x 5 = 90.

Some experts state that each combination has equal probability. Each combination has an equal possibility , but the probabilities are different . For example, have you ever heard about winning combinations of 1-2-3-4-5-6? Of course, you have not. A combination like that is possible, but it is highly improbable.

On September 6 and 10, 2009, the same six winning numbers have been drawn twice in a row in Bulgaria's national lottery ! An investigation has been conducted, but no evidence of wrongdoing was found.
