T ABLE OF CONTENTS
INTRODUCTION
Greetings and Welcome!
Since its first publication in March 2002, Eating for Beauty has been an extraordinary part of my life. The continued popularity of this book has been a wonder to behold. This book brought a new level of grace and joy into my life, as I know it will yours. I have continued to revise the contents of this book as I bring the information up to date with my present knowledge.
T he message contained in these pages is about how to become more beautiful, not just how to maintain beauty or even how to slow the aging process. This message is about rejuvenation at the deepest level. It is about recreating ones internal and external appearance.
The word beauty is derived through French from its Latin root of bonus, meaning good. The desire for beauty is not only good and natural but is in fact one of the most divine attributes; it is one of our sacred possessions. The greatest aspirations in life aim for the highest state of physical, mental, and spiritual beauty; to discover and draw out our dormant levels of excellence; and to become strongly attractivemagnetic.
The ability to cultivate and appreciate beauty greatly enhances ones ability to heal and enjoy life at every level. The fulfillment derived from the enjoyment and creation of beauty seems to be unmatched by any of lifes quests.
As you delve into this book you will discover how to create beauty within yourself through diet and other complementary factors. We will explore the role of yoga, beauty sleep, and the psychology of beauty; yet this book is primarily about the way to eat for beauty.
Different foods fuel different types of thoughts, different potentials for success, and different destinies or destinations in lifewhat you are eating now is leading you to a certain destination. Where are you headed with your current diet?
The whole process of digestion is related to our appearance. The manifestation of our genetic and spiritual blueprint is a result of whatever we eat, assimilate, and eliminate.
Not all diets are created equal, as we know. If a certain diet contains the elements of charisma, charm, and magnetism, then it favors beauty-building.
One who eats for beauty becomes a work of art in progress. Natures paint brush immediately sets about applying food-mineral cosmetics to the inner tissues, which become visible externally in the warm, vivid, youthful freshness of the hair, nails, and skin.
One of lifes greatest goals is to design a proper diet for ourselves: one that makes us feel incredible in each moment, leads us to limitless beauty, and increases longevity. My desire is to provide you with clues and tools (not rules) on how to do this.
People often hear conflicting nutritional advice, roll their eyes, and decide they might as well eat what they want, or what they have always eaten, since the experts cannot seem to agree on anything anyway. I know you will find that the information in this book will resonate with your common sense. Always trust your common sense, regardless of what the experts say. Judge by results, not by theory.
This book represents my opinions on the beautifying qualities of specific foods based upon experience, science, research, history, intuition, legend, and lore. These foods comprise the core of The Beauty Diet.
