About the Author

Richard Myrick is one of the foremost thought leaders on the mobile food industry. To service the needs of individuals and food truck owners, Richard founded the Mobile Cuisine website ( www.mobile-cuisine.com ) in 2010 to fill an information void he found when he began researching how to start a mobile hot dog cart in Chicago. Richard found that no central repository of mobile street food information was available anywhere on the Internet, and with that, the idea for Mobile Cuisine was born.

Richard is an architect by degree (Lawrence Technological University, Southfield, Michigan) and began his career in real estate development and architectural planning after spending 12 years in the air force. During his time working for mall developers across the Midwest, Richard assisted in the build-out of more than 100 restaurants, varying in size from small food kiosks to stand-alone fine-dining facilities. This experience gave him a unique perspective on the food service industry, which he shares with Mobile Cuisines readers daily.

Richard, a Michigan native, currently resides outside of Chicago, Illinois, with his wife, Hannah. He is the father of three beautiful and intelligent girls: Erica, Ally, and Tessa.

For more information, please contact Richard at rmyrick@mobile-cusine.com; you can also read his articles at www.mobile-cuisine.com .

Your dedication and desire to create mobile culinary delights is an inspiration, and I will always try to help promote the industry to the people you serve.
