What is inflammation?

Inflammation is when the body reddens, swells and pains especially in small joints of the body. It usually occurs as after an injury or trauma. It is the usual reaction of the body, and is normal during the process of healing. However, sometimes it can get out of hand. Inflammation can cause excessive weight gain, harm to the body, diabetes, tiredness, lead to heart disease and even create some forms of cancer. In that case, we need to work on ways to improve the situation. A simple solution is the anti-inflammatory diet. More details and harms of inflammation can be found in chapter 2.

What is an anti-inflammatory diet?

Not a traditional diet, it does not focus on just weight loss. An anti-inflammatory diet focuses on eating healthier to keep the body healthy and reduce pesky inflammations. It is not only focused on food but a healthy lifestyle altogether. It is a simple yet effective method of controlling inflammation as certain food is the primary cause of inflammation.

Why should you take the anti-inflammatory diet?

This diet has many benefits as it counteracts inflammation. Inflammation causes many heath issues and an anti-inflammatory diet works at the core to prevent these health issues. As the title suggests it can help reduce joint pain, diabetes, heart disease, arthritis as well as many other health issues. Symptoms of inflammation are swelling, reddening, pain in the joints of the fingers, immobility in joints, as well as rigidity. The anti-inflammatory diet can also help prevent them. The reason why this diet works will be explained in detail in chapter 2.

Are there any side effects of the anti-inflammatory diet?

There are no major side effects of this diet. This diet is mainly a change in the way we eat. Although studies have shown that it may result in radiant and glowing skin, loss of excessive weight, and more energy. The side effects are hardly negative.

How long does this diet take?

An anti-inflammatory diet does not take long to get accustomed to. It does not have a time period. There is no optimum time to start this diet, and there is no end period. Chapter 2: Understanding the dangers of inflammation

We all heard that this diet can help prevent and reduce existing diseases. But how does it all work? It is first important to understand the main reason behind all these health issues. Inflammation is one of the most common causes of health problems. The anti-inflammation diet works at the core of the health issue. It attacks inflammation, prevents it and counteracts it. For this reason it reduces symptoms and even prevents future symptoms.

Let us understand inflammation in detail. Inflammation in biological terms is called rheumatoid arthritis. It causes pain and restricts movement and is most commonly present in joints of the fingers. Redness, swelling, rigidity and immobility are the most common symptoms of inflammation. Although, fever, exhaustion after a little bit of movement, weight loss, migraine, rigidity in muscles, and decrease in appetite for food can also be associated with inflammation. Inflammation has also been tied to loss of hair, as the chemicals weaken the hair follicle and so hair falls. Studies also show how inflammation leads to diabetes. In severe cases, inflammation can lead to bone decay and an absolute immobility of joints. In rare cases inflammation can even cause damage to the blood, eyes, lungs and skin. Inflammation usually surfaces after the late thirties; however, it can catch on in earlier years as well. It is especially prominent among women. Furthermore, the symptoms of inflammation can disappear and reappear many times and in different levels of severity. It starts at small joints such as the fingers and can spread out to the wrists, ankles, knees, and every other joint in the body.
